Pesavento, of Next Level Scouting, reports Boston College OL Ryan Poles (Achilles') is recovering from a torn Achilles' tendon suffered during the 2007 season. He has been training and rehabbing for the past four months with Chip Smith at Competitive Edge Sports in Duluth, Ga. Dr. James Andrews has monitored his progress closely. He will be fully recovered from the injury before the start of the 2008 season. Dr. Andrews expects him to be ready for full participation shortly after the 2008 NFL Draft. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl
I see him as most likely a UDFA. I wouldn't be surprised to see several more lesser known, local guys to get such work-outs,either. Our Staff is really doing their homework!
Nice to see isn't it? I agree he's a likely UDFA, and it is likely BP and Ireland plan to fill out the OL with a few UDFA's after taking probably two in the draft. As cK mentioned in another post, the UDFA's can choose which team they want to go to, so its smart on our part to establish a rapport with these guys so they'll be prone to come here if we want to sign them.
