I think Egnew might also be left, but not sure. I know that 2 days ago he wasnt signed so unless something happened that I didnt see we have 2 left
Wonder why we waited so long to start signing our rookies. I know no harm, no foul but I just don't see the point of waiting so long (other than using other teams contracts as guidelines). Tannehill is probably one of the only unsigned 1st round picks left (other than Blackmon for obvious reasons).
Still 85% of the first round rookies has signed their deals so far. I don't see the point in waiting.
It sounds like that off-set language is the hang-up on T-hill's contract. Maybe they're doing the same with Egnew's? My guess is that the team will eventually have to cave on that demand. The benefit to the team is small and they only seem to be doing it to advance a league goal. Since it appears that every other team has dropped that demand with at least their first round picks, Miami will have to do the same or just stay stubborn and risk T-hill's development.
Really having high hopes for this kid...hope he lives up to it. Hell, hope they all live up to the potential slew of 1st and 2nd round steals. Just gotta get it done right by Tanny and Egnew real soon...
what difference does it make whether it's last week or this week? as long as they are signed before TC starts.
The longer you wait the better chance you have of the other side caving. Its not like there's other offers the player is going to take. So wait it out, doesn't hurt anything as long as they are signed by deadline. Past deadline then the FO is stupid or the agent is insane.
