The Miami Dolphins clearly want to juice up it's return game.
Tony Sparano admitted to that himself on Thursday.
It appears that the franchise might be willing to make a trade for what they believe is an elite returner.
The Dayton Daily News is reporting that the Browns have had talks with the Dolphins regarding disgruntled receiver Joshua Cribbs, who happens to be a dynamic returner.
Cribbs made it to the Pro Bowl as a returner and he's off to a hot start in 2009, averaging 26.1 yards per kickoff return, and 16.3 per punt, which has him ranked fourth in the league. He's already returned on punt for a touchdown.
Cribbs and Buffalo's Roscoe Parrish, the former UM standout, are the two return specialist available on the trade market. Because the Bills wouldn't trade Parrish to another AFC East team (and I'm told a fourth or fifth rounder) would get the deal done, the Dolphins have looked elsewhere.
But what is Cribbs worth, and he already wants a new contract (which is what makes him disgruntled) despite having three years remaining on the six-year, $6.7 million contract he signed in 2006?
