In trying to follow this Favre info, it seems that the source is Omar, and I wonder if his purpose is to divide the fans at the practice tonight, where half will chant "we want Orton" and the other half "we want Favre". This is something else, to think that a crappy beat reporter has the gall to concoct this rumor and toss it in the lap of Coach Sparano. I imagine Omar is proud of what he has started, not for the truth of the matter, but for the confusion and deliberate misleading of Dolphin Fans (not unlike his many "big news coming" messages and self aggrandizing follow-ups).
His plan is to draw attention to himself and his paper. It's working magnificently. Next will be a story how "Marino eyes a return to the Dolphins".
If sparano had just denied it none of this frenzy would be happening right now. But because he didnt deny it this is what we have.
Very good point. They are making next to no effort to put an end to this story, they must think it benefits them in some way. I've yet to come up w/ any idea as to how that might be.
I love it . It's Omar fault...lol Thats right stick your heads in the sand and give our FO no responsibility for getting into this offensive mess. Omar is the one who puts all our hopes on Henne. Omar is the one who failed to get a ligitmate upgrade at QB in Free Agency......Omar is the one who didn't have a backup plan for QB if plan 1 fails, Damn FO gets paid big bucks and supposed to be professionals and at least know more than us........But they screwed up again yes again and it's not their first time you know.....
Isn't the ranting because of the continued lack of addressing the QB chasm as opposed to not going after mediocre FA QB's this free agency period though? IMO the front office is accountable for this restlessness , and while I agree going after mediocrity isn't how we should go , I do feel this is their karma for not managing this situation properly up until this point.
They want to make it seem like they are turning over every rock. That way, should the castle crumble, they can't be accused of closing any doors or burning any bridges in trying to find an upgrade at QB. For example - "We tried everything we could to find a better QB solution" - said Coach Sparano after his team suffered its 10th loss of the season yesterday and stands at 5-10. It could also be that they know that a large amount of fans will be intrigued by this idea for a time and that while they are daydreaming of this they can give Henne some more time to polish up his game. Reminds me of the rumors when Troy Aikman was being thought of down here.
You mean because the deal for Orton fell through? Deals fall through all the time. Doesn't mean it should turn fans into stark raving loons.
QFT. With a walker, in a wheel chair, or even with his legs cut off at the knees. Doggone, how I miss the glory days and watching him play. Will we ever find our next franchise QB?
Marino was a brain in a jar with a cannon attached to it. The contraption stood on prosthetics and was programmed with bullfighter skills.
No, but Omar seems to be the main one stirring up the pot by throwing whatever against the fan and see what sticks...Journalism at it's worst. So Florida has the absolute weakest media crew for a major city...reminds me of the idiots of the press in NY...
Why would we want an over the hill prima dona qb lead the Nfl in int when we can do the same with Chad Henne at fraction of the price. I hope Henne doesn't read this I don't to hurt his precious feelings.
