For those who care about such things, someone started an online petition to be sent to Stephen Ross to restore Miami's primary uniforms back to the old-school style:
Uniform Petition

Lol good luck with all that. They just renovated the entire stadium based on the new design. All those new seats have the current logo and color. The new logo is painted, decorated, and embroidered all over the place. They're not changing it.
Fin D, you're a graphic designer aren't you? Isn't there an understanding that new designs often take time for people to come around to? I think anyone who doesn't like the new logo will come around to it eventually. Especially once we (hopefully) start winning consistently again. Hell, I've already seen a large number of people who have said they didn't like it at first but have since come around.
People see nostalgia in the throwbacks. A time with championship teams and hall of fame players. That's why they want it back. I like the throwbacks too, but not nearly as much as I like the current look.resnor likes this. -
As long as they don't go back to the old logo.
Such a terrible design. -
I just wish the whole online petition world would go away in general.resnor likes this. -
"This is what I know, so its better, dammit!!!!" Its why old people tell the times they grew up in were better, even though Nazi's were committing genocide, we interred entire portions of our American population in camps based on race, blacks and latinos were second class citizens as were women and homosexuals.
The problem is people are stupid.btfu149 likes this. -

Imagine the amazingly terrible designs of the extreme 90s. That would have been glorious! -
When we changed from the original to the 90]s era stuff (first dramatic change) people lost their collective ****.
Fast forward to last year, and people lost their collective **** again when we changed from the 90's era to current.
Its dumb. Its why I hate people in general. Its also why when I get my degree from my correspondence course at DeVry, I'm going full super villain. -
Besides, fans will always be buying new merchandise even with the same logos. Players change so people want new jerseys and stuff like that. But changing logos and colors too much is overkill.
And to your point, that's why I really like the current logo. It's clean. It doesn't look like it's from any specific time period like the 90's and 60's logos do. -
College football is changing every year, sometimes they have 4 or 5 a year.
It doesn't have to be super extreme like the change of the Bucs or Patriots. Simple changes like the Dolphins in the 90s or the Rams in the 2000s -
Fill out the outline petition and maybe it'll happen in 10 years, when he sells or dies. We changed logos quite recently. The stadium was remodeled with it and there's a ton of merchandise with it. Not happening any time soon.

I think we should wear the throwbacks once or twice per season... they aren't changing the uniforms permanently anytime soon.
Pretty naive to think it would even be considered. -
Personally I love the look of the throwback jerseys but hate the antiquated look of the old logo. If it were up to me I'd like to see something that mixes old with new, which I think could probably be accomplished by keeping the new logo and accentuating the orange more on the jerseys, and perhaps adding the sleeve stripes back.

The thing I don't like about college football is the constant helmet changes. Helmets should always be the same as long as the logo is. -

Hello all,
I just found this site and this is my first post. I am a Fins fan in South Carolina.
I would like to see the current logo with the tail turned down like the old logos. I like the current uniforms except for the logo. It just doesn't work for me. I have yet to buy anything with new logo. Can someone post a graphic of new logo with tail turned down.dolphin25 likes this. -

I like both logos and I never worry about my Dolphins gear fitting in with the times. I have clothing and hats that are a mix of the current and past logo. If it's Dolphins i'm rockin it, plain and simple. I do like the old logos better, but that's just me. I don't represent with winning or nostalgia, I just prefer the older look. New look is cool too.

I loved the throwback look on Monday. IMO best unis behind our current ones.
-
I enjoyed the throwbacks we wore this past Monday. Maybe its me, but I really like our new uniform and logo as well. My only complaint is that we don t wear the Aqua jersey nearly enough, off the top of my head I can only recall three times that we've worn the aqua jersey all season. But it's such a dope uniform - love it!

1. This is a great example of blending old with the new.
2. Very clean, not at all busy.
3. Love the stripes on the uni's and helmet. Current helmet scheme is ******ed. Really awful. Don't understand why the helmet pattern was redesigned to begin with.
4. Color scheme is strong. Orange actually being up front and present in the basic home and away jersey's is a nice change.
Can't say enough good things about this.Silverphin and Jt0323 like this. -
Signed.
The only thing that makes those logos look a little silly is the helmet on the Dolphin, simply remove it. -
If anyone starts a petition to get Lamar Miller more than 12 carries a game, i'll sign that.

Well the Browns unis suck, the Bucs are not bad minus the huge helmet logo and the number font that looks like a digital clock. The Jags have a good uniform, better than their old, minus their ugly *** helmets. Dolphins new uniforms are better than their ones before, but not better than the stripes. My only issue is the lack of orange. I like orange. I would have no blue in the number scheme

You think Shula would have done that? He is the man that out thermometers in the players jerseys to see which was hotter dark or white.
Also Gruden said something that made me about fall out of my chair, he said that Campbell said they practiced in the bubble to get out of the heat because he didn't wanna wear the team down. So this edge that people think we have with the heat and humidity is no longer true.
Also with cool zones and induced air into the pads of the players on the sidelines it's reduced the effect on the opponents. Also what when the jets come to town, they use a shield or cover to shade the players. So in the end what's it matter if we wear white or auqa on Sundays the practice bubble and technology has reduced the advantage. -

I like having a throwback jersey night once or twice a year. The one thing we need a petition for is to make the NFL do away with those horrific ballet tight solid color tights costumes they've subjected us to in Prime Time. Those are the ugliest, most ridiculous uniforms any professional sport has ever put on, with the notable exception of the old NBA speedo short uniforms.
-
They can go back to the original if and only if they, as you said, remove the stupid helmet and redraw the dolphin. They can even keep it realistic looking instead of cartoony or impressionistic. -

As to change in general- again, it would be fine if it was an improvement. The 80's and 90's were way better than today, from the economy to the world being safer and terrorist free (or at least much closer to it than the sh** show we have going on now) to people being less inclined to adopt the "Survivor" TV show and Clintonian model of advancement- lie, cheat and steal your way to the top, stab each other in the back- it's ok, they do it on TV and look at what Clinton got away with, right? As always just one man's opinion, but keep your smart phones, flat screens, selfies and duck faces, in general terms I'd rather be in the world of the 80's or 90's over now, not for nostalgic reasons but because it was a better, safer and more ethical period of time (Wall Street greed aside, which is rampant today anyway). And the Dolphins uniforms were better, too.
