with the MNF game, NFL fans have a solid Sunday to watch random games, which is great, but I like to keep an eye on some players just to make it more interesting: -D McNabb v the Chargers, I suspect B Berrian has a bounce back season -Matt Roth/John Chick for the Jags, two passrushers for them that are wildcard types of players -Bills v Chiefs, lots of storylines in that one that concern Dolphins fans -Jest v Cowboys, though I give the Cowboys little chance of winning with their LT out, they are starting a real unknown v that D -Colts v Texans..just because -Also will keep one eye on SF simply to see if T Ginn does anything -Browns v Bengals, want to see how well they do without Daboll Any games or players on your "watch" list?
Yessir, I'm amped up already. Another player I'm going to watch is Brandon Browner of the Seahawks, a CFL to NFLer, he will start for them at cornerback, he is sort of a poor man's SS24.
I'm going to try to watch every game at once... 8 early games... I'll have the DTV game mix on. There are five "good" games on early. Eagles/Rams, Falcons/Bears, Lions/Bucs, Steelers/Ravens, Texans/Colts. The four late games aren't as good. Chargers/Vikes and Giants/Skins... Cards/Panthers in the Kolb v Newton bowl. This is all leading up to the Sunday night game, Cowboys vs Jets in New York for the 10th anniversary of 9/11. This is gonna be great....
Since I'll have 5 tv's going on at once, I won't be watching any one game. One of my tv's will have the game mix on so I can keep track of all the games. Life is good!
Steelers/Ravens. Always a slugfest. Low scoring, hard hitting game - my kinda game. Will keep an eye on Buffalo - KC just because we need Barffalo to loose.
Rams straight out of the gates after stopping the Eagles opening drive, first carry for Stephen Jackson, Touchdown... how's that for a dream start dream team?!?!
I've been watching Philly and St. Louis mostly and Stephen Jackson is out for the Rams already. Strained quad apparently. Big blow. Game has totally changed.
Steelers are clawing back into it with the ground game against the Ravens. driving now inside the 10. but down 14-0.
know what I hate about the game mix channel? You've got 8 games, so 8 boxes. But on my HD tv the boxes are so small. They've got this graphic around the edges, with a ticker, that takes up 25% of the screen? WTF. if they just had the boxes, it would kick ***.
KC has scored to get back into the game against the Bills, it is being reviewed. Could be 14-7 Buffalo if it stands.
Andy Dalton playing pretty well for the Bengals, up 13 - 0 at Cleveland. Andy Dalton playing well... Cleveland just scored a TD though to get back into it MCcoy to Watson.
Polian was at the Duke Stanford game yesterday. CBS called him on it. He said we were scouting Stanford and their seniors, some good players over there. He can't comment on Luck because he's not a senior
And you only get 7 games, not 8. The last box is a red zone, which for me is useless. Directv has it's own channel for that. Is Houston for real?
Chiefs...*cough*2009 Dolphins*cough*. Hope the Ravens win, want them to sweep Steelers, and they play the Jets which we'll need them to win. And they have Ricky!
They are on the menu this yr, and Cassel has been mediocre without a good OC. Texans manhandling the Colts is more of a concern to me.
Browns just scored again to go up on Bengals.. not much defnse in that game. Vick just got hit and the Rams take over on a fumble after it looked like they were going to score. Mikell with the play, he's had a solid game.
1 of the key questions of our offseason is how much Daboll is responsible for developing McCoy and how much of that is just McCoy being that good in the first place.
