Group of 12 middle age men taking a long weekend away from the wives to attend a game in October.

What area of Miami should we stay and any suggestions regarding getting to and from the game would be appreciated. Do (or should) we need to rent vehicles or is public transit decent enough?

Thx in advance. ....and any other advice is welcomed too.

Stay in Broward County, Ft. Lauderdale, and rent a car. Don't use public transportation, there isn't much to speak of and cabs will get expensive. The beach and surrounding areas of Ft. Lauderdale are very nice, plenty of restaurants and things to do and about 45 minutes away from the stadium. Miami is much more congested and there isn't much around the stadium to speak of. Good luck.

    Don't drink the tap water.
Avoid NW 2-4th Ave. on the way to downtown. You'll be fine.
