Sure it does. Money, in this country, gives people access to more and better solutions to their issues. You can be depressed whether you're rich or poor, but being rich means you have access to more and better help so you can get past your depression.

Actually flu doesn't come with being cold. It is more about the fact that you tend to be inside more surrounded by people that causes you to catch the flu.

Never been to NY. I like the Pacific Northwest. Never gets too hot, never gets too cold.

No, I am sorry, it doesn't.

I never said it didn't give you more access and I never said it didn't help.

I do not understand the point you are trying to argue.

It helps, however there is more than just THAT.

This is America in 2014. There are a lot of cheap to free resources that anyone can take advantage of.

Once I actually read the science, I see I don't have as much to worry about.

I am more worried about the potential huge earthquake we are supposed to have and the fact that I live next to a ticking timebomb that is due for another big eruption that could bury Tacoma AND Seattle.

It is at least very pretty to look at.

Ya those earthquakes are no joke. That and extreme heat for long periods of time are about the only things NYers don't deal with.

Marijuana will not cause someone to pour coffee on anyone. Had to be some other drug or mental illness.

I think you're bringing more things to the table here than just an objective view of the situation. This is personally and emotionally charged for you, for some reason.

I just find it funny its pages deep of sympathy, with people making up a mental illness that has not been mentioned, proven, nor diagnosed. Yet everyones looking past the cop thats burned from coffee, and his direct lack of care to authority both to the NFL, or public servants doing their job.

But I am emotionally and personally charged because I am not using pillow gloves on the issue. Dudes a criminal, has a criminal backround, and blatantly breaks laws in public and flaunts it. You can call that a mental illness, but neither of us have a PHD in psychology.....I look at his checkered past and call a spade a spade. Dudes just a crook.

Just because he wore my favorite teams helmet for a few years doesnt mean Ill look at it differently.

Stealing and throwing coffee on a cop for no reason aren't similar at all.

Need to hear the rest of this story before I can really pass judgement.

By all accounts, Bess has been a good guy on and off the field. Ask any of the local charities which benefited from his extensive work with them.

I'm inclined to believe that one or more of a handful of factors are at work here: one could be that something traumatic happened in his personal life and he turned to drugs, or possibly went off prescribed meds for a psych disorder which we weren't aware of.

But the behavior described was that of someone dissociated with reality, not experiencing his surroundings cogently.

Exactly, DBess was not a DBag in any sense, before this meltdown he'd post pics of his kids and his football camps and attending charity events.

I believe Sick is being to simplistic about all of this which is why I said what I said, this was not a cat who said "I love me some me", he was a good guy for 4 yrs at least, longer if his time in HI is counted.

To even an outsider, something is wrong with this picture.

Rare day I agree with Nabo

    AMERICA!

    All good points.
Here's some more info coming out.

Even before Davone Bess' arrest Friday for assaulting an officer in a Florida airport, several people close to the Browns receiver say they had become increasingly alarmed about his erratic behavior.

In the days before he left the team last month to deal with personal issues, the Browns were worried about his mental well-being, a league source told Northeast Ohio Media Group. Another source said Friday that Bess was at the Fort Lauderdale Airport at the time of his arrest to catch a flight home to Oakland, Calif., to reunite with his family and seek help.

Bess had difficulty focusing and sleeping throughout the season – easily the worst in his six-year NFL career – as he dealt with serious family issues, said the source, adding that the stress over his family contributed to his actions.

“This is not the guy people know,” the source said.

Assaulting a cop is unacceptable, but that will be dealt with within the legal system.

What you have to ask yourself is: is this and recent incident totally out of character for the guy? The answer is yes. This isn't Chad Johnson, getting punched by his fiancee, which, for him, just meant it was Friday.

I feel bad hes going through some obvious trumatic ****, but thats not different than others in this world, and they have not close to the means to help themselves. Bess has an NFL that is taking mental issues very seriously at the moment, he has money, he has the browns orginization, and he has multiple avenues to reach out for help and receive it.

HOWEVER dealing with those issues by assaulting someone and publically doing drugs, shouldnt be excused. Many people lose wives, young children, dogs, houses, jobs.....yet they don't do this. Every day its happening. He needs to get help, and he has the means to do it. Im sorry if my sympathy isnt as strong as others.

See thats not true though. There was never any history of violence or legal issues with Chad Johnson in the past. It was very unlike him to be in trouble with the law. Was he a wise-cracking, loud mouth diva infront of the camera? And entertainer? Yes.

A violent domestic absuer he wasnt in the past. Yet, no one went ape **** over it asking for him to get help. Maybe the bengals message board did?
