So while I've been getting extremely excited about today for the past month, I've encountered a problem that I want to hear other fans answer to.
Whenever I talk about the Dolphins, I always call it my team/our team/us etc.
A number of people feel the NEED to tell me that I don't play for the Dolphins and can't call it my team.... What reason (or witty remark) would you guys use in response.
I just simply say "We're the 12th man" but I'm not sure if that's convincing enough.

Just remind them that it's called 'passion'. It's our team. And they can go **** themselves.
Seriously, these people are in the (miniscule) minority. EVERYBODY says 'my/our' team.NaboCane, Rocky Raccoon and ascii like this. -

I put a lot into the Dolphins. Time, passion, money, etc. I support them passionately, so yes I am part of the team in some way.
