PFT reports that the Packers are hoping to continue to have a connection with Favre after he is done playing. Earlier this off-season they offered him a deal of approximately $25 million to stay retired. This time around, they plan on doing the same thing. The Packers President Mark Murphy said that he wants the team to have a "long-term relationship" with him. Why in the world do they want to pay him money after he is retired? If you want a connection with Favre after he is done playing, offer him a position with the organization such as QB coach, etc. I know some are not going to agree with that but I'm just throwing it out there. I find it rather pointless to pay him the $25 million.
