Wow... so that's how a well executed draw should look.

Aaron Rodgers points and laughs at those coaches.

Brandon Jackson just dragged the entire Bears linebacking corps seven yards. Ronnie and Ricky can’t believe it!

Why not play combo coverage, man zone.

Right now the Pack Oline is having their way with the Bears.

Boy, Rogers trusts his receivers and himself. A LOT.

They do, I'm sure. I haven't seen it but I doubt they do it a lot. The bigger question is, why the hell are they still spot dropping so often?

We may have a game folks.

Don't understand the use of spot drops enough to help you there, bro.

btw, you'd like Pat Kirwan's book, "Take Your Eye Off The Ball"

Apparently yes, under certain conditions. I think they'll avoid it on kickoffs, unless field position is critical (like an OT drive or something).

What do you guys think of Lovie Smith? I mean, if he gets his team back to the Superbowl, with different co-ordinators.. pretty impressive.

I think he gets it. He knows when he's doing too much or not doing enough IMO.

Spot dropping is like Cover 2. Having a landmark or a spot to drop to. Pattern reading is matchup zone.

I thought once about buying it but passed. You've read it?

I like him, but keep in mind 2 #1's for cutler and 50 million for Peppers he is not exactly building space shuttles out of empty beer cans.

Should be fun to keep track of, to me I like the approach of actually threatening the opponent in all 3 phases of the game and on every play.

Not a big fan. Way too conservative. Mike Martz was like his sixth choice for OC.

Well, spot dropping it seems a higher chance you'll waste resources as a defender covers dead space with no routes to his side (eg cornerback in flats away from the play on a trips bunch to the opposite side where no routes are coming his way, or an obvious overloaad to run away from the CB's side).

I love Kirwans book because I learn tidbits here and there that I didn't know. You may already know most of it though. Also, you tend more to X's and O's and he only does a very little of that. He does let us know things like keys on a play, technique at positions, etc. I may post some of the stuff I liked in a thread at some point.

Huge sack by urlacher. Took them out of fg range. Stupid of rodgers not to throw it away there

I said, seriously, that Green bays special teams will be a hugefactor today and we are already seeing it. This is very much a field position battle and STs will account for a TD worth of field position by game's end.

That's the exact complaint of spot dropping.

    Interesting.

He had to roll out to throw it away. If he throws it away there, its grounding.

Chicago Code commercial. Well, football aside, Chicago beats Green Bay hands down in terms of TV shows set in their city.

Huge chance for the Packers Special Teams if Bears punt from endzone. Packers STs could help win this game with a big return or block.

aaaand Tramon is thinking the same thing and tries TOO hard for the big return, ends up screwing up.

Watching well coached, well played football really makes me see the gap between where we are and where great teams are.

Wow. This Bears D doesn't look like I thought it would. And Urlacher looking less athletic than I remember him.

There are too many pockets (holes) for Aaron Rodgers to throw at in the Bears coverage. IMO they gotta start jamming and re-routing while dialing up more blitzes. Blitz the run game, that's what I'd do.
