They talked about this on NFL Network and said there were like 66 such establishments within a certain radius.

Safe bet the Cowboys made this trade because they have some inside info into his re-instatement. Otherwise they wouldn't have made a deal for a guy that has an uncertain NFL future.

The Dallas Morning News disputes an internet report that the Cowboys will announce the acquisition of suspended CB Pacman Jones early Monday.
The report claimed Dallas has already scheduled a press conference and would be acquiring Jones for a fifth-round pick. The team has made no announcement of the sort. Pacman will likely be a Cowboy shortly, but it's not expected to happen on Monday. Talks could pick up at the owners' meetings this week.

I agree but he could also be a complete disaster. I know some people are going to say it was only a fifth or sixth rounder that they gave up but with that late draft pick, you could draft a player who is hungry and wants to be something in this league other than be a household name in a strip club and just collect the money.

Pacman Jones wants to go to Dallas, and the Cowboys apparently want him. How much they'll give up to get him is a different story.

A source close to the negotiations told ESPN's Ed Werder on Sunday night that trade talks between the Cowboys and Titans have stalled over the issue of compensation.

The Titans are seeking a fourth-round pick in this month's NFL draft and another selection next year, according to the source. The Cowboys are so far unwilling to provide either, believing they are the only team pursuing Jones, who remains suspended for violations of the personal-conduct policy.

The Titans have been steadfast in their position, apparently convinced that Jones' trade value will not worsen.

Jones said last week in a radio interview with Cowboys Hall of Famer Michael Irvin that he wants to resume his career in Dallas. He will apply to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for reinstatment in the next two weeks.

    Doesnt surprise me actually.

What does surprise me is that Goodell is gonna let this piece of excrement back into the league....and actually it surprises me he isnt behind bars

Also, there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many strip-clubs in the Big D...not that I have ever been to one there, cause I really havent..but I have lots of relatives who live there.

I think it will turn out to be a steal for them, even if they just put him as a kick returner. If he doesn't work out they can dump him, a fifth round pick really isn't that much in the grand scheme of things.

The agent for Pacman Jones confirmed that a deal sending his client to the Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round pick has not been agreed upon.
ESPN's Ed Werder is reporting that talks have stalled. "You would think the Titans would tell me they had traded him if they had," agent Manny Arora said.

SI.com's Peter King predicts that suspended CB Pacman Jones will be a Cowboy by the end of the week.

A source told King that the Cowboys are offering a late-round pick and a bit player (possibly Bobby Carpenter or Isaiah Stanback), while ESPN's Ed Werder says the Titans want two picks, one this year and one in 2009. The source called conversations between the clubs within the next day "crucial."

    update
Commissioner Roger Goodell indicated at the owners' meetings Monday that he doesn't believe Pacman Jones has taken responsibility for his actions.

"When he does, I will consider him for reinstatement," Goodell said. "If he doesn’t meet that status, I don’t feel any obligation to reinstate him." Goodell says teams can try to trade for Pacman all they want, but it won't affect his decision to reinstate Jones.

I think that statement by Goodell might have killed the trade talks between Titans and any team.

    update
the agent for suspended CB Pacman Jones says his client and the Cowboys already have agreed upon contract terms.
The Titans are holding up the deal by asking for Dallas' fourth-round pick this year and a conditional 2009 fifth-round choice. Jones' agent is still optimistic that a deal will happen before the draft. "If there is going to be a deal, I imagine it would come in the next three weeks," he said.

I think the Titans are way over their heads with their demanding price. That's a lot for a guy that you dont even know will play next year. I wouldn't give up more than a fifth rounder but thats just me.
