So I'm sitting on my *** in Sedona, checking on priceline for tickets to Chile and Ecuador to possibly meet up with Alex(German friend I met in India) to do some backpacking. I decided to check Honolulu prices on a whim...400 round trip, 260 one-way... Now, I've got a friend in Sedona who wants to get on board and I've got a distant relative who lives there that I have yet to contact. I need information and some contacts I can get in touch with. I could easily just Kerouac it, but I'm still finishing college and need a quasi home base where I can do my schoolwork or some good names of some internet cafes. My classes are online and easy right now as I'm just about to transfer somewhere else. Who's got some info and tips?
I should add that I plan to leave mid-January and stay at least until mid-March, but I've got things squared away so I can do whatever moving forward.
Yeah, he's got me itchin' to explore... Here's some pictures he sent to me from Patagonia... This is Alex He's an adventurer, but man is he good at it. I could show you some pictures of some mountain raves he's been to in Europe that'll make you rethink your life...
Less granola, more muscular, shorter hair but yeah, pretty close with a tan... If I get someone from the site to host me for a few days while I get settled, we'll party and I'll post the pics...
I am curious to know what you think of living in Hawaii. Would you mid posting your thoughts about it here every now and then? I have until April to decide whether or not to relocate to Honolulu from Miami.
If I lived there Rilla you could stay with me, but I don't, but I do know you have to go to this one beach, just follow the main road from Honolulu right alongside the ocean, driving it would be about 20 mins out, you will see it on the right, keep looking down, it's a small beach/cove, with a wicked tide that brings in some serious bodysurfing waves, the best in the area, it's absolutely a gorgeous beach...that's if you can handle it, locals will be there so keep on eye out for that if you can..
Thanks DJ, but I'm on the big island and have already swam with dolphins and whales at the capt.Cook monument in Kona. Man, it's like a giant aquarium. Pics are forthcoming, but I'm on my phone for now. BTW-scored the best homegrown green on the island from a dude named Bobo and got super high (me) right before two humpbacks put on a show. I don't know if it was the whales or the weed but I'd have to have some sort of "Free Willy" moment on heroin to eclipse that mark...
