I have no doubt you will soon be in total agreement with me, regarding Ireland. I certainly look forward to the day you and I can agree that the Dolphins are finally headed in the right direction. Unfortunately until Ireland is gone, I just don't have any faith in the organization at this time.
May be next year. May be three years from now. A miracle may happen this season. Maybe the rookie coaches learn how to coach in the NFL some time this season. Maybe we get a new GM who can recognize talent and make hay out of the high draft positions we will have. Maybe. But this product, right now, is unacceptable.
I would love to write about other things regarding the Dolphins. Unfortunately it always comes back to the overall lack of talent on the roster. 1) The defensive backs are a below average unit. 2) The LB's are average at best. 3) Other than Cam Wake, there is no one on the defense who can apply pressure on the opposing teams QB. 4) The offensive line appears to be a major weakness once again 5) The group of WR's are in the bottom tier of the NFL 6) The RB's are very average. 7) I have no idea if Tannehill will be a long term answer at QB or not. Right now though, if he starts the season with this offensive line, I doubt he will survive the entire season. I will be glad to write positive comments regarding the Dolphins when they actually appear to be headed in a positive direction. Nothing I have seen this preseason leads me to believe my prediction of 5-6 wins and a last place finish in the AFC East, is too negative regarding this team. In fact in looking at the schedule, I am having a hard time even seeing 5 wins on their schedule.
Okay, I'm an agnostic and I happen to like Obama. Hopefully we can agree on at least one of those things.
