I just hope that Parcells and his brain trust aren't in a rush to evaluate Ronnie as a longterm solution. Barring another injury setback, Brown should go into the 2009 season (in other words, the season after next) as the clearcut feature back.

 

I totally agree, we should be VERY careful not to rush Ronnie back. We'll be lucky to win 5-6 games next year, so let Ricky and the other backs prove what they're worth, let the OL gel together, then put ronnie in when he is 100% ready, and not a minute sooner.

 

They should take it easy with him.

 

Ronnie is way more valuable to the team 09 and beyond as opposed to a few games early in 08. Let him heal, I think that the Trifecta has enough tape of his career to know they want him around. And it gives them more time to look at the rest of the RBs, who have to prove they belong. None of them are a guarantee to stay, so get them on the field and let'em slug it out.

That's basically it. Giving medical opinions when you are not a qualified medical professionals is silly and presumptuous.

 

One would think... but it didn't work out too well for Culpepper.

 

i would think that they would sooner push Ricky than Ronnie. if we lost him it would have a lot less effect long and short term.

 

I couldnt agree with this article more. While i want ronnie back on the field, I think to rush him back would be the worst thing we could do. Ronnie is clearly our best player on offense. Ricky could probably still be an effective runner for us, and it wont hurt to see what Parmele can do, so if ronnie needs a few extra weeks to get to 100%, im all for it! :up:

As long as he feels good and has the confidence to play, I say let him loose. You can't always just keep the Ferrari in the garage, you got to bring it out and drive it.....that's what it was built for.

The Dolphin's run defense was pretty pathetic when Culpepper did that. I think Al Davis could have run for 3 TD's in that game.

And those runs weren't exactly a thing of beauty, hardly Vick-Esque. Infact, I remember watching the game and having visions of Marino scarmbling post-ACL days..

 

i didn't get to to see the game but i watched the hi-lites and at first thought they were showing it in slow motion, you know, for effect...:pity:

 

Doesn't matter. Still got 3 tds on us I don't care if he ran backwards on all fours. Still stings. Maybe because i was watching with my buddy who is an Oak fan.

 

I was in the same position dude, that loss hurt the most out of all of them.

Anyone know much about Parmele? Could he get some carries this season if Ronnie isn't quite ready to go.
