If we do take Jake Long, I think he has to realize that not many LT's get a lot of attention or commercial endorsements the way QB's and RB's do. I think if Jake gets a decent offer he has to take it.....he could drop all the way to #5 and be picked by KC if he gets passed by us. I just think Jake Long makes the most sense. I was listening to an interview he gave and he seems like a hard working blue-collar guy who is very straightforward. I would just love to see him in a Phin's jersey wearing #77 and blasting holes for Ronnie Brown to run through. Being an LT is not a flashy position, but we are not going to go anywhere unless we have a solid o-line. Hopefully we can sign JL before the draft.
According to SI, if he was to be passed up by us, the Rams will select him. They are hoping and praying that we do not select him. That could be a smoke screen but take it with a grain of salt if you wish.
Guess it depends on how much they like Alex Barron. Pace is like 32 and has been injured the past 2 seasons. So he may be finished.
