Parcells, like any new regime-head, gets rid of the ESTABLISHED players who run counter to the culture he is implementing. Jimmy ought to have disposed of Danny too, much as we loved him. Danny had the Favre-effect though... GMs and Head Coaches couldn't boot him out of town without a fan revolt happening. That said, it is a GOOD thing john Beck had a hoorrible season last year. It allows the new regime to keep him and look good if Beck blossoms and becomes their guy. If Beck had done well (and we had somehow still gone 1-15) then I think the new regime wouldn;t want to give him a chance. If Beck had succeeded as Cam's QB then he would be 'known' as Cam's QB and established as such... meaning the new guys might want to disassociate with Beck. His failure last year allows the new guys to treat Beck as a new, unproven commodity instead of "Cam's guy".
