Last week I started a thread about "Five things We Need from Ryan Tannehill", and my biggest point was that we had to get Wallace on more crossing routes since that's how he scored most of his TD's in Pittsburgh. If I counted right, we hit him on 4 or 5 of those patterns today alone, so that leaves me feeling very encouraged by this new offense. Two of the throws were behind Wallace (including the fumble) but over the coming weeks, we are going to see multiple touchdowns off that route- just wait and see.

I thought Wallace had a nice day minus the blatant drop.

People will point at the fumble but he had to turn to catch the ball and turned back up field into a huge hit. Also I don't think people realize how tough a play that near deep TD was on both ends. I can't blame Tannehill or Wallace it was a heck of an effort both ways.

I was glad to see Wallace get open on a variety of routes.

I'd put his fumble on a combination of bad throw and great hit.

It wasn't a perfect throw, but it was a fumble by Wallace.

It happens sometimes. You're in a bad position and you take a hard hit, the ball pops out. I don't really blame Wallace or Miller for their fumbles today. They weren't being careless with the ball they each just got popped IMO.

I agree; there was enough fault to go all around there, plus some props for the defender.

Miller should have covered with both hands.

I hear ya. It's the first game with real contact too, so I'll expect better from both next time around.
If you noticed, Miller had two hands on the ball before contact throughout the second half after that fumble. Someone got in his ear...

Amen. I saw him on this play and others not use both hands to protect the ball when he saw a hit coming. Has to learn to do that.

It's more of the same from Wallace. He had a solidly productive day and then multiple situations where he ****ed up or failed to make the play. The guy is who is is, Lazor can put some lipstick on the pig.

If Mike Wallace went the way of Ellerbe/Wheeler, we would be fine.
