I could understand if they were shopping him but its still pretty damn crazy to think about IMO, considering he's a year removed from college and being taken in the second round.

 

I think trade speculation is there simply because there's no other fathomable reason. It's a pretty unlikely scenario, IMO. At least right now. Who knows what sort of injuries occur to our QBs or other teams' QBs.

 

Well, I think he is either on the trade block, or headed to the pup.

Right now, when other teams are installing their systems out on the practice field is the time to move him as he can learn the offense from scratch.

I'm suspecting a trade is in the works. If Pat can't beat out Thigpen, and he doesn't want to make the switch to WR/RB, then he has no roster value to the Dolphins. If the reason he missed practice was due to an injury, or he missed a flight, the Dolphins would have no reason to keep quiet about it.

If there's no word by tomorrow, and he's a no-show again... I say he's getting traded.

I disagree. The time to move him is when there is demand caused by a shortage of QB's due to injury and White at least shows that he can become a QB.

 

I suggest we wait a couple of days before jumping to conclusions.IMO this is a tempest in a teapot.It doesnt make sense he would be traded .

Until Pat White proves he can play QB in the NFL he has little or no trade value

 

I doubt that Pennington will get traded, He is a Parcell Guy and a mentor to Chad Henne, if any QB will get traded i believe it will be Thigpen or White but IMO they wont trade Pennington.

I can't see us trading him. Just cant. Its way to early. 2nd season, 2nd round pick. I just dont see it. Sure seems odd there's no other explanation though

Just my opinion, but I think it could be the Fins that may be in the market for a 3rd QB at some point this TC. I love Penny to death, but how well recovered is he really ?? Wasn't there rumblings that he may not be ready for camp ?? If White is re-assessing his life in football or at least the dreams of being a starting QB versus a WR, RB or KR or whatever and Penny falters because of his injury....where does that leave us ??
