I just heard John Clayton mumbling on the radio how Miami's offense is going to miss Cobbs this year, especially with our older RBs. Did I
miss something, did Cobbs get a season Ender?

There has been no word one way or another, Cobbs was asked about it and he said "ask coach".
Eh, we are still a bit Rb heavy imho, even without PCobbs.
That is Sparano island, interestingly enough, Sparano compared this yr's crop of Wr to the one he had in Dallas with Glenn and TO, and Austin and Hurd he really likes some of the UDFA's. -
I found this about Cobbs' injury ..

hamstring is @ best a nagging injury
can be totally debilitating & difficult
to mend or judge the seriousness of...
let's hope its a minor thing
that they caught it in the early stages
up next: Tristan Davis?
w/ Hilliard's lack-luster season
could be a new face aboard soon
on the other hand,
could be a very minor thing
that the Dolphins are taking
all possible precautions with.... -
No reason to make it worse than it already is

Cobbs, (IMVHO) is steady, but limited. He doesnt seem to have any special qualities about him. He is a hard worker and a gamer, but slow and not extremly shifty. I just dont see there being a big time role for him.
I personally like Hilliard. Altho hes limited too, I just think the size prevails in value.
If Cobbs were a better KR id give him an edge...MikeHoncho likes this. -
Hoping this is a minor setback, Cobbs may not be the fastest, shiftiest or whatnot, but he's a gamer and helps the offense in numerous ways.

if it's not minor, you'll know w/i days as they shop 4 another RB asap
otherwise, not to worry... he will return by game one -
Hilliard didn't have a lackluster season. He wasn't used properly on offense at all. They should have used him to spell Ricky more often instead of using him mainly on 3rd down in a Cobbs type role. Keep Rick fresh. Coach laid an egg on that one.
Also to note he played well on ST which no one expected. There is a reason they have kept him around and he is still developing. -
opinion not wrong, Friend Killerphins
& it's not just my personal opinion -
I hope it's not serious. But if he does miss regular season time we should be ok. With ricky, ronnie and Lou they should be able to give us the versatility we need in the early part of the season.
And now we have a formadible passing game, or at least the personnel, which should help our RB's even more. -
Hope it's nothing too serious. He was really effective out of the wildcat last year.
-
Omar said something like he's been told Cobbs' injury is not serious. However, Camarillo's groin might be a little more serious, which sucks for him as he's already behind the 8-ball with the play of Marshall, Hartline and Bess.

survival on the Serengeti is a daily affair...no time outs or do-overs. it is what is...the survival of the fittest
better to thin out the ranks now than be devastated by an injury later in the season:yes:
