Its very early, but his run blocking is among the best we've had at that position in a long time too. Potentially since Jake Long.

Long was a stud. Wish Grier would have prioritized the o line. We see it in really great teams.

Grier took over as the director of college scouting in 2011, so Long was one of the last OL taken prior to him getting his hands on the draft. From 2012 onwards, when he's been the man in control of that operation, we've gotten:
Jonathan Martin
Dallas Thomas
Ja'Waun James
Billy Turner
Austin Jackson
Liam Eichenberg
All of whom just weren't any good or were relentlessly injury prone. He also had Laremy Tunsil fall into his lap, then traded him away.
