Public opinion means next to nothing.... But the fellas in Vegas have Houston as a 8 point fav. and the Jets as a 10 point fav. for a reason. Neither one of these teams will be trying too hard to win this game.....and we cant be pissed at anyone but ourselves.
True... and why would the Pats want to win and risk the chance of having to play us again? We didn't take care of our shiznitch... nobody to blame but ourselves...
Yep, this!!! They are already at a huge dis-advantage not having home-field advantage...they were not good on the road this year.
Well something isnt right, u better believe Vegas has more scoop than anyone on ESPN or anywhere....giving 8 points to the Pats? Tells me Brady and co. will be pulled early. Also the only scenario where it would matter is if a 5 or 6 seed make it to the conference title game...and thats even assuming Cinncy would show their hands to the Jets on SNF. The Pats will get a home game then be on the road the next week anyway...considering they would have to knock off a seed lower then themselves I think Bill plays the odds.
I would be down right shocked if NE rests it's starters. There's no precedent. The only time I can recall NE pulling starters is when it's become obvious that they've lost the game. Otherwise, Brady is in there trying to throw another TD pass right up until the final gun.
http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/s...y-on-what-bill-belichick-told-him-youll-play/ Per Brady.... “Close game, blowout, we get behind, I’m expecting to play the whole game,” Brady said. “I wouldn’t see why we wouldn’t. It’s our job to prepare to play, and I certainly am. I want to play, and I want to do great against a team that’s fighting for their playoff life and has a lot of great players and really challenges you in some different ways. It’s a meaningful game for us. It’s a meaningful game for them, too. It would be great for us to win on the road against a damn good team.”..... I believe it. I just don't see them resting starters. That's not been their way of doing things.
