as free agency draws closer and several teams prepare to spend big money, the new england patriots realize a potential opportunity is on the horizon.
They are apparently willing to listen to offers for the star and future hall of famer tom brady but are not actively shopping their franchise signal caller.
The following is a team released statement:
"as any team is doing this time of year, we are doing a full evaluation of our roster, from top to bottom.
We've added some great pieces to the team in larry fitzgerald, greg jennings, devin hester, jonathan stewart to name a few.
The window of opporunity is here for this team to dominate the forthcoming seasons.
We would be foolish to start over in essence by trading our franchise quarterback.
However, all players on our roster have a price and a value set by the market.
We are sensitive to what that market could be on the eve of free agency.
We have no further comment at this time but are looking forward to free agency and being fairly active with about $20million in cap space.
This after exercising the franchise tag on our all pro guard logan mankins.
