They just best a very good team with their 3rd string qb 27-0. Cant beat the cheat. But all we will hear is praise for how "brilliant" Belicheat is all week long.

He wasnt this *smart* for the Browns either.

People forget he was the Jets head coach for what a few hours and then for some reason "resigned" and a few heartbeats later was the Pats coach.. Perhaps this was set up then. Right after that he gets almost absolute power from Kraft.. A guy that while having success with being an assistant did not have much to success as a head coach.. Hell they lost a 1st round pick over this as well.

Put it this way. The Patriots are the 2000-2007 Barry Bonds... Had plenty of talent to start with but cheated their asses off and when they are caught just shrug it off... Clear and Cream Patriots.

The patriots probably cheat every home game they play. Gilette stadium is bugged to hell. Wasn't there an article last year on this? There hasn't been a smoking gun yet(?)---maybe it would come down to tearing down the damn walls in the locker-room to find things---but the sheer number of suspicious occurrences point to something (last year Steelers also had sudden communication issues while playing there).

The NFL knows about it too, but won't do anything about it --- a four-game suspension to the star qb means jack when 3 of the 4 games are in Cheatlette stadium, where an exploitative system ensures the replacement will do just fine! The nfl only takes action if something substantial becomes public, ala 2007's spy gate. So, why the Patriots? Why must they be protected by the NFL, for the most part? This is America--- look at the name of the team. Was it a coincidence that after having been allowed to illegally film a better Rams team prior to know their play calls in advance, that they won the super bowl for the 2001 season, after 9/11? That particular super bowl logo appears, well, patriotic too. The NFL embraced this opportunity for an image to be cast; look at how the patriots have gone unpunished for what they did to win that super bowl.

Even equipped with this knowledge, it would be however foolish to deny that Belichick is also a master strategist and exploiter of the opposition's weaknesses who's not shy to find loopholes in the rule book (ravens fans know)--- perhaps those skills evolved in tandem with the cheating (or the cheating helped those skills flourish over the years). Certainly the coaching skills and cheating combined make for a massive advantage especially in bug-ridden Gilette stadium.

But there are times the cheating fails (technology ain't perfect)... which partially explains why every once in a while a team goes to Gillette and beats Bill's team.

I'm so sick of the Patriots year in and year out, always in contention no matter if they're starting 3rd and 4th string players. I've long held since Tom Brady's "magical" 2001-02 season that they were the NFL's golden boy team. It is impossible to sustain success like that for so long in today's NFL with FA, injuries, players getting old, ect. Yet somehow the Pats are always in the thick of it. The stats shown that there's certain things that show they are lightyears better than other teams, like a big gap between them and the next best team in those catagories. Their home record for one. Their fumbling rate. Things like that. The fact that players who leave NE suddenly don't look as good on other teams. Hell Bellichick routinely turns ex-Dolphin players who were horrible for us or just couldn't make the 53 man roster into Pro Bowlers. Their cheating history also shows a serial need to cheat and game the system. Once cheaters, always cheaters. So now whenever they play, I always assume they're cheating no matter the circumstance.

God I hate that team so much.

I agree that I can't imagine Belichick is that much more intelligent than anyone else in the league. When the Patriots lose fans often site that the Patriots did something wrong to cause that outcome and that it is usually not the other team. I think there may be some truth to that. Belichick is massively arrogant and will go for it on 4 and 2 or stick to a plan no matter what. He basks in the idea that he can send bad players against good players and win. Its about rubbing it in and last night was a perfect example. If there is cheating and realistically there has to be a level of it, there has to be a way to either prove it or combat it. Did the Dolphins hide their calls in the second half? Did they go off script and Belichick intel was then outdated? I would think someone in the NFL would try to do something to figure this out and if it is not cheating again, someone figure this out!

I wonder, do other fans of other teams think the Pats cheat or is it just us? I just bounced over to the Texans forum and they are all complaining but not about cheating.

The whole team should be investigated by a neutral third party body. Like a congressional investigation. Or a really good investigating news organization.

Yeah ok whatever. There's just a mystical force at Gillette stadium that makes strange things happen. Yeah they don't cheat...right! Spy gate didn't happen.

C'mon man. NFL wants you to think its secure as it probably is for mere mortals. You don't think that someone like Robert Kraft with Billions of dollars couldn't get some hackers to figure it out? He doesn't have lots to lose if his team starts not performing? If so, that's a a naive thought process.

You can be sure they are cheating. It's what they do. There is no, frickin' way they change out all these scrub *** players, and they are scrub *** players - garbage, and they don't miss a beat. Year after year after year.

That Ernie Adams guy is hired on to find ways to cheat, and that's his job. Nobody publicly knows what he does and when asked in an interview a few years back, he refused to describe what his responsibilities are, saying something like "I shouldn't say anything about it".

Yes, the changes in the rules over the last 15 years, Goodell's BS arbitrary disciplinary actions and the cheating Patriots have ruined football.

The way it is now, and has been, is that every season is just a new series of chumps for the Pats to scam, week after week, the league knows it, and Goodell is fine with it, as long as whatever they're doing doesn't become publicly known.

I'm not sure that the Patriots pay off the refs, but I wouldn't doubt if there's a low key exec within the NFL "gives the word" that's been handed down at times. Nobody's talking about the blatant holding and tackling of the Dolphin's defensive line that the pansies were doing for the first half that was never called once. Everyone shrugs it off and says you can find holding on any given play, so they let it go most of the time. Sorry but when it gets to that level, that's just too obvious the NFL wants a certain outcome. We absolutely do have one of the best defensive lines this year. But their success simply won't be allowed.

The Patriots are causing me to very quickly lose interest in the NFL. Any of you gamers out there know what happens whenever a game becomes hackable and you have people cheating like crazy. The masses lose interest and stop playing. That's happening to me with the Patriots. I have patiently waited for years for this team to be caught blatantly cheating, and for years it continues, to the point where it's reached levels of being statistically impossible to explain their home success without accounting for systematic cheating. The team we cheer for never has any realistic shot of accomplishing anything as long as they are in the same division as this team that has an unbeatable home advantage. Like I said before, it's like they are playing TECMO bowl and calling the right plays every time because they are peeking over at your control to see what play you called.

I just can't continue to watch this anymore and then listen to and read **** like this the next day:

And then we have to watch pedestrian and average players look like rock stars when they benefit from this system, but would look like hot garbage anywhere else. "Look at all those scrappy little white receivers! They are so smart, and have good motors!"

I just can't take it much more. The thought of Belichick and Brady going to the Hall of Fame when players like Pete Rose are kept out of Baseball's hall makes me sick to my stomach. They have cheated the game for over a decade and are slapped on the back of the hand and sent right back out to do it again. There's no point in watching the NFL until this ends.

Never miss a beat. Who was that guy a few years back when they'd lost all their corners, then put a WR, a frickin' WR, at CB that had never played CB before. Last week they play 2 rookie OL and a 2nd year cut from another team's training camp. They play absolute JAGs and are always in the right spot.

It's awful. I work with Patriots fans, and not one of them will admit that there is anything funny going on with the team. They ignore the cheating, both alleged and factual, and talk about all the wins, and how the Patriots won because BB is a great coach.

    It's awful.

Regardless of whether you think most of the Patriots' success is due to cheating or not, the claim their home success is statistically impossible (improbable) without some other factor that wouldn't be part of normal variation is testable.

Here's a link to the home records of all NFL teams from 2005-2014:
    http://www.sportingcharts.com/articles/nfl/best-and-worst-nfl-home-field-advantages.aspx

The mean home win% is 56.96% and the standard deviation is 12.3. NE has the best home win percentage at 82.8%. The probability of that (if one ignores the fact there are 32 teams) is 1.76%. Taking into account there are 32 teams however, you find that the probability there is at least one team with a home record that is at least as good as NE is 26.4%, meaning no statistician would look at that and say something fishy is going on (that 26.4% has to be 5% or less before that would occur).

EDIT: That 26.4% should actually be 44.3%. I mistakenly put in a mean of 53.96% instead of 56.96%.

I can't stand watching the Pats because it is like a scripted movie or a game set on easy when they play. I would have to imagine some fans must get bored watching. Instead of wanting to know if their team is going to win it is more about by how much. The silver lining in this is the increased evidence that Brady was just in the right place at the right time and that he is to a degree, over rated. He would have probably been mediocre in any of system. That steams all these Pats fans who think Brady is the second coming. Other than that Belichick, the Patriots and their fanbase are sticking a big finger at everyone else and it doesn't appear anyone can do anything about it. Hopefully karma will come back to bite them someday and maybe their arrogance will get them in trouble in the play-offs again.

Meanwhile the direct opposite team, the Dolphins can't do anything right - I love underdog stories and am still waiting for the Pats to fall and Miami to rise - hopefully I am still alive to see it.

There's a reason they get into trouble in the playoffs. It's no coincidence that when there is increased scrutiny on the games, and they lose the home field advantage at times during playoffs - they suddenly look like a human team. No better example of this than the 2007 season. Look at the declining stats once they got into the playoffs, and the eventual loss in the Super Bowl.

All we can do is hope and wait that they eventually get caught, but I don't believe the NFL has a commissioner right now that even cares to catch them. It's going to have to get to a point to where fans become so disinterested with the game in light of it, that it starts costing the NFL money.

Could you please explain exactly how the Patriots cheated last night to beat the Texans so easily. They were using a third string QB?

Belichick has proved over the last 17 years that he is probably the best head coach in NFL history. He has been able to continue to put a winning team on the field year after year during the area of free agency, when no other organization has come close to maintaining this level of winning consistency over that period of time.

If if he is doing this by merely cheating, as you state. Perhaps the Dolphins and the rest of the teams in the NFL should learn how to cheat too. I personally think that it has nothing to with cheating but everything to do with Belichick just being a superior head coach.

As a Dolphin fan, I can't wait for him to retire so the Dolphins will once again be able to contend for a division championship. Because as long as he remains in New England, the rest of the AFC East teams will be playing for a wildcard spot every year, even after Brady retires.

Oh, and on the subject of speculation on why Miami looked so awful against the Patriots in the first half and so good in the second, the answer is simple: No huddle. In no huddle the Patriots don't have time to properly intercept transmissions and playcalls, especially if the QB is calling the play at the line. It cripples their system, at least when they are on defense.

For once I'd like to see a team wise up when in their stadium. Not use any electric transmission and go dark, or use it as a smokescreen but have different calls being sent in physically.

Remember the reports about unsophisticated teams suffering the worst against the Patriots cheating? Bills and Dolphins being 2 of the teams mentioned? The only teams that ever have a chance of beating them, especially at home, are teams that account for and plan against the cheating.

I dont agree with most of the tinfoil hat stuff, although it is plainly obvious that they are/have been cheaters

However... if you doubt the shadiness of the Pats and the mountains of evidence against them then you are more delusional than the conspiracy theorists.

I never denied that there are two cases in which the Patriots were found to be cheating. My question to the posters was, exactly how did the Patriots cheat last night?

I think always stating the Patriots win because they cheat is ridiculous. While I certainly don't condone cheating in anyway. The fact is the Patriots have been the best team in the AFC East and one of the best teams in the NFL for most of the 17 years Belichick has been their head coach.

I think this has far more to do with the fact he is an excellent head coach and far less to do with cheating.
The fact is that Bill Parcells had his most success as a head coach and only won SB's when Belichick was his DC.
Without Belichick on his coaching staff, Parcells was nothing but an average NFL head coach.

I understand why Dolphin fans and fans of other teams in the NFL hate Belichick and the Patriots. Yet I wish the Dolphins ownership would have been smart enough to hire Belichick 17 years ago. Today the Dolphins would be called cheaters and hated by fans around the league but with several SB wins over those 17 years, I would just sit back and enjoy the fact my team had been a consistent winner over those years. Just as Patriot fans do today.

I don't want to reflect on wins that are tainted by cheating.

They're is literally nothing anyone can say that will convince me that they're not still cheating. They just beat the Texans 27-0 with a third string nobody QB. Their team is full of average players and cast-off.

Also, it sounds much better for Patriots apologists to say things like "two cases," yet the reality is, Spygate was one instance spanning almost an entire decade. That's not "one case." Given the systemic cheating, it certainly calls into question how great of a coach BB actually is. Without the cheating, do they win those first three Super Bowls?

the dolphins had two or three decades of dominance and were the only team to actual be perfect and we did it with a host of different qbs. And the major difference between shula and belichik is shula never cheated. Belichik isn't worthy of shining shula's shoes and the patriots are simply an asterik dynasty

Go watch the playoff games in the early 2000s and you'll see a new England secondary that held the opposing receivers on almost every play. You think manning choked? McNair? Rewatch those games and see how the refs wouldn't call anything against kraft's team

I am certainly not a Patriots apologists. I just think that many fans simply want to ignore the fact that Belichick is a great NFL head coach. That doesn't mean he shouldn't have to answer for his past episodes of cheating, but I still am waiting for someone to provide evidence that cheating had anything to do with the fact the Patriots crushed the Texans last night.

I don't think the Dolphin players or coaches are concerned in the least about the Patriots cheating. I think their only concern is how they can eventually become a legitimate contender in the AFC East with Belichick consistently putting superior teams on the field, year after year.

I think fans are upset about the cheating episodes, while the players and coaches are just concerned about finding a way to beat the Patriots. I also think a lot of fans are upset the Patriots are 3-0 without Brady. Because they figured that without Brady the other teams in the AFC East would have a chance to win the division this year and it just hasn't turned out that way.

Since I think Patriot fans are the most obnoxious fans in the entire league, I can't wait to see the day they have to suffer what we have gone through over the last decade. Yet as long as Belichick remains in New England, that day appears a long way off.

I loved the Shula years and I actually was at the stadium to watch every home game during the perfect season. Of course the Dolphins had to give a first round draft pick for Shula because they were caught tampering with him while he was still under contract with the Colts.

So back then, Shula was viewed in a negative light by those who though he acted improperly by interviewing and signing with the Dolphins while still the head coach of the Colts. This certainly doesn't take away from the fact Shula was a great head coach, but he too was considered wrong in his behavior in this instance.
