Think I sort of predicted this, BB has cut most of his secondary that he has drafted over the last 4 yrs Sanders McGowan Merriweather Wheatley Butler Henne is going to face a very green Pats secondary, or at least a makeshift one.
Eh, if this cat says so, to me Bodden has not played in a yr, Dowling is a Rook, McCourty is decent, and Arrington? Fine with me, who are their Safeties Page and ?
Bellicheck one a SB with a WR playing CB.....I think you have to give him some credit as to making the most from a poor crop. McCourty is good, and they will put him on Marshall no doubt. That leaves Bodden on Bess, or even Hartline? Then a rook on either Hartline or Bess? I like the match ups. Then, what about when Marshall hits the slot? If we can establish a running game early and bring a safety down low, we could be golden. Tha Pats don't scare me deep, but it has always been the slants, cut backs, and screens that killed to Dolphins anyway. We have to contain those dump offs and we have an excellent shot at surprising the world.
Was not a fan of his coming out of the draft. Doesn't Suprise me but I figured he went to the right place for him to be successful. Guess not.
Okay or decent? I dunno, perhaps Sergio Brown. I know they like him and felt that he has played pretty well in preseason. I haven't watched him to say.
I do not think he is a lockdown Cb if that is what you are asking? BB tends to favor brainy players over really physical specimens, so this is maybe a chance to upgrade, however do think that they shed a ton of talent, but the secondary is not their real issue, that lays in the front 7, the days of Warren/Seymour/Green getting pressure with 7 guys back in coverage have never been replaced in NE, BB is going more with role players nowadays. With mixed results, that is what the signings of Haynesworth and Carter tell me, and I'm a bit surprised Ron Brace is still there as well TBH.
He did not make it past the Panthers, the pats are not exactly tossing undesirable players overboard. Panthers had first waiver claimes Sanders wound in Atlanta Merriweather wound up in Chicago
