nah, not this year. I know we keep saying this and wondering why the hell does the rest of the league continue to trade with him but the value is not there. Maybe it makes a little sense for a team to trade back into the first (29th), but I don't see the need to jump up to the 59th when equal talent will be available. Everyone will know the pats* will be desperate. Plus how many times do you think they'll trade back?

Seems strange to me he'd want to cough up a third round pick, and 2.5 million for a guy who hasn't done much. Sounds like he's just backin the Steelers into a corner, or he's already got an agreement with Sanders for a longer deal. Which... would be considered tampering in a way... although it sounds like there's no rule to nail them for it.

No big mystery why NE is making him an offer. He would be their version of Hartline. He is a good reciever that plays the outside which is an area that NE is lacking in. Signing Sanders gives Brady another area of the field to attack. NE is in a win now mode.

Whats baffling to me is Pitt taking this risk on losing him. Are they just trying to match an offer to try to get him cheaper then giving him an extension or is there perhaps a poision pill in his contract preventing them from resigning him to a reasonable money contract. Thats how BB got Welker from us. It just seems strange that they would let both Wallace and Sanders both leave.

 

We said the same about Brandon Lloyd. maybe Sanders fits the system better, but IMO, the problem was there were not enough balls to go around. If Sanders is the #4 option behind Gronk, Hern, and Amendola, then he's a very good 4th receiving, but maybe an overpaid one considering how many balls he will end up catching. His value is more likely to go up when Gronk is hurt again.
