Would unfortunately be a very good move for NE if they succeed. Would definitely hurt the Steelers quite a bit as well, losing Sanders on top of Wallace would put a big dent in that offense.
-
Wonder if this makes CB more prevalent in Miami drafting plans?
Probably takes NE out of the "trade up for Tavon Austin" conversation as well.... -
He was actually the one RFA I thought we should make a run at until they tagged him with a 3rd rd pick.
Hmm, and McLain is chatting with the Ravines as well -

I'm tired of giving them the benefit of the doubt on any and all signings. They can suck my balls.

plus only due 2.5 M....man Pitt cant let this guy walk over 2.5, they would have a worse WR core than Miami last year if they do....

This is good news. If pit decides not to match, the pats* will draft in the first & second rds and basically call it a day. They'll only have:

How great are those lyrics? Reminds me of every Jests fan I have ever met.

Interesting take on this situation here:

Sounds like Bellicheat up to being his typical d-bag self.
Seems strange to me he'd want to cough up a third round pick, and 2.5 million for a guy who hasn't done much. Sounds like he's just backin the Steelers into a corner, or he's already got an agreement with Sanders for a longer deal. Which... would be considered tampering in a way... although it sounds like there's no rule to nail them for it. -

No big mystery why NE is making him an offer. He would be their version of Hartline. He is a good reciever that plays the outside which is an area that NE is lacking in. Signing Sanders gives Brady another area of the field to attack. NE is in a win now mode.
Whats baffling to me is Pitt taking this risk on losing him. Are they just trying to match an offer to try to get him cheaper then giving him an extension or is there perhaps a poision pill in his contract preventing them from resigning him to a reasonable money contract. Thats how BB got Welker from us. It just seems strange that they would let both Wallace and Sanders both leave. -

deleted the off topic posts... getting back to the subject at hand. I'm floored that the Pats are on the verge of stealing this guy for a 3rd round pick. AND HAVING TO SIGN HIM FOR JUST $2.5M for ONE YEAR. I mean I don't blame the Pats for trying, but the fact that it has a chance of actually going thru freaks me out. Scary freaky. :shifty:

Stealers matched the offer
Do agree that the NFL commentariat tends to give the patsies BJ's whenever they try or do sign anyone.
