Also keep in mind that he only has 8 games left under contract.

He would be our 2nd best CB by far.

you could say that about a lot of players, including Vontae Davis, whom we got a 2nd rounder for.

    not really.

Talib is perennial pro bowl material if his head is right.

Same deal as Vonte the if factor.. But Vonte wasn't serving suspensions for drugs and Colts get more time out of Vonte. New England making moves to improve their weakness though.

Is that how you do it try them and just get rid if they aren't what you like?
Belicheck is a genius Ireland should take notes.

Players seem to be on their best behavior in NE....

    Here's to hoping he isn't.

Sure, but they still gave up picks for an 8 game rental of a player. They've tried and failed at getting defensive talent for years now and are resorting to throwing around draft picks, which is the exact opposite of how they succeeded in the past.

He hasn't even been good when on the field this year. This trade doesn't scare me.

We'll have to wait and see if he follows the footsteps of Moss (I hope not) or Ocho-Cinco (I hope so).

I think those players showed a greater level of consistency in NE than their previous teams. Dillon flashed in Cincy... Moss of course flashed in Minnesota. That comes down to coaching and the organizational structure. Two things I believe we have going for us with this new regime.
