The Bears reportedly believed they had a trade in place that would've sent Greg Olsen to the Patriots for a second-round pick just prior to last April's draft.
The trade fell through and New England wound up drafting Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. In 2010, 20 NFL tight ends were more productive than Olsen, who often went to waste in Mike Martz's tight end-unfriendly scheme. The Bears could reconsider a trade this spring, particularly if they get another chance at a high pick. They'll need a new CBA for that to happen, though.
