I'm thinking of getting Fallout 3 or COD 4 for PC. I was wondering if it's possible to use my PC to play against people online that use XBox?

What kind of service or charge am I looking at to play COD 4 or any other game online? I know XBox charges for Xbox Live, but I have no clue how online games like COD 4 or Halo etc. work.

I don't think so, I think you would only end up playing against othr pc users. I think there was talk a while ago about "games for windows" where some games could be played as pc vs 360 but games like Halo (couldn't confirm for sure as I've never played a halo game) but sounded like just microsoft produced games only. Theres a lot of clued up guys on here that may know for certain though
