I read this last night. He also mentioned he was committed to the Dolphins, though he wasn't sure they wanted him back or not yet.

He want's to start but is willing to stay here and be a backup to Chad if the deal is right.. I think that's a Great IDEA simply from a coaching standpoint. Having him sit in class with him etc..

 

I would love to have Chad back, but not sure we will make that happen with the Thigpen signing...I would think we have to move one of them. We would essentially have 3 starting caliber QB's in my opinion.

 

Pennington has a place, if physically able, to backup, coach, whatever, on this team

 

He would be a terrific backup
