Great article on Pennington. Gotta love having a QB who is willing to be on an "11 month plan". Here's hoping Pennington can put the "never played 2 consecutive seasons without missing time with injury" statement to bed this year. Also, I didn't know his wife was pregnant.
Pennington is coming off of the best season for a Dolphins Qb since Marino retired and he is coming back healthy. CP is pretty much the key to our record this year as well, we've invested tens of millions more into the Oline to help him succeed and there is no reason why he shouldn't be able to succeed this year.
It was a good read this morning in the Herald. I think his attitude is what makes the difference. He is happy to have this chance and he's making the best of it. The light switch turned on for him, and thank goodness it happened when he came here, and not with those stinkin' rotten Jests.
I think it will be a good year for Pennington. He seems focused and I'm sure he really wants to prove that he is not washed up or a one time wonder, Boston wants to come back to the NFL, huh. I hope he looks some where other than Miami.
having Pennington at the top of his game and healthy this year is pivitol in us making a deep playoff run. While i dont think i feel too bad with henne in there, i dont think he could get us into the playoffs with the schedule we have this year.
I really like hearing that CP is staying in shape and hungry to be better and healthy but I am still a little nervous. There were times last year when he was lucky on plays (Deep TD to Ginn in double-coverage, deep to Ginn came up short and Ginn again made the play coming back for the ball) so I hope he's working on his arm strength as well. Everybody knows he's accurate but arm strength and motion can always be improved.
