The annual Chief Cornstalk District Boy Scouts of America Dinner will be held on June 17 at 6 p.m. at the Logan Country Club in Chapmanville.
NFL pro quarterback Chad Pennington will be the special guest speaker. Pennington was named 2008 NFL Comeback Player of the Year and was a standout and West Virginia celebrity from his college football career.

The “Golden Boy” as he is known to sports writers, has had a stellar career with the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins. He is the first Dolphins quarterback since Hall of Famer Dan Marino to throw for 3,500 yards.
For his role in the Dolphins’ 10-win turnaround, Pennington received notable MVP consideration from several major media outlets. He received four votes, and finished second to Peyton Manning for the 2008 AP NFL MVP.
