Can anybody give me specifics about a personal line of credit. Would it be a good idea to get one for about 5000 to pay off credit cards? What would the monthly payment look like?
Any other ways to pay down 5000 so that monthly payments are smaller?

Can you cut them up, and pay them off on your own? The Dave Ramsey way and his book that we read is awesome. The name of it is "The Total Money Makeover" List the the debt from lowest to highest. Pay the minimum on all the cards except for the smallest one. You pay on it as much as you can. Once that one is paid off, you take that amount you paying on it plus what you were paying on the existing one and add to it. This causes a snowball effect. You keep doing this until your debt is gone. Make a budget in writing and stick to it. I bring this up because like most of us once you pay the credit cards off, you then turn around and charge on them again. Best of luck.:wink2:
