http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20.../09/10/game.plan/index.html?eref=twitter_feed Hmm, seems old Pete is a bit late to the Cam Wake party.
And this Wake has been down here for how many years? What's for next week? An enlightening feature on the runningback from Auburn? ...uh, Brown?
I was surprised Mr. Coffee criticquing Pete wasn't on his knees reporting the anticipated new Brady contract last night. My he sounded reverent in his reporting of that.
Those knees wear out quick, King is already on Palladium ones after wearing out two sets of Titanium replacement knees.
I'm still curious how Nolan is going to use Wake. Last year he was situational and got some good sacks in. This preseason he was a starter and wasn't always brought in on a pass rush, and thus had no sacks. Endurance might be a huge driving force behind that, but we don't really have any answers there since he hasn't been asked to do what he does all game yet.
The coaching staff was so secretive in what they would show during pre season, that we really don't know what to expect. Hopefully we can see a very aggressive defense.
IMO if last season in Denver is any indication, here's some snapshots I've taken. He's also had Dumervil with his hand in the dirt, which is not pictured, and he took him out when in dime packages.
Yeah and that basically shows nothing considering any of them might blitz, drop back or hold the point...
Last season, the blitzes came from the strong safety and the two ILB's. Nolan would sometimes line up Dawkins on the edge and blitz. He did that about eight to ten times a game IIRC. Usually if he was blitzing one ILB, he was running a Cover 1 and other times, he'd do what they call a Double A Gap Blitz. I think that one is rather self explanatory, with two ILB's blitzing the A gaps.
I think his next article is about what happened during Ricky's earlier Dolphin years. Then a coaching spotlight on Wannstache.
I will never really understand the hate on King. I hope most realize that outside of the hardcore Miami Dol-Fans, that Cam Wake's name pretty much illicits a look like someone farted in church, followed by an audible, "who?" In other words, Cameron Wake is still a virtual unknown to most of the NFL and its fans. Peter King is late on nothing, he is spotlighting one of our players for a national audience. If anything, you would think Peter King would get props for this.
The one any only reason why I pay attention to Peter King is he is Tuna's mouthpiece at times, when Tuna wants to float something King is the guy sometimes. Plus he is a humble dude on Twitter, some of the national media types mostly TwitSpam, he actually chats with fans on occasion.
His reporting of girls high school field hockey and soccer in NJ is unamtched from anyone I have read ...
didn't we draft misi for his coverage skills and his ability to go from sideline to sideline and not his pass rush skills?sure he has some pass rush skills but thats not what we brought him in to do if i am correct.
