Its possible Manning is here because he wants to set up one workout in the comfort of his backyard that all the teams intrested can watch him go through his throws rather then doing a full workout for each and every team considering signing him. That is what would make the most sense to me.

 

I'm sure he's on his way home. However, I'd like to imagine Manning walking into his condo and then one of his swivel chairs does a dramatic slow turn....revealing Ross with a pen in one hand and a contract in the other. "Welcome Home Peyton" *evil grin*

 

I just can't see a situation anywhere else as good for Manning as in Miami. Completely aside from the fact that it is a place he likes already.

1) We are not as far from contending as people think, I believe our coaching change alone wins us two or three more games. I saw Cameron Wake covering the other teams fastest WR in man coverage last season. (Was it Santonio Holmes) That is COMPLETE coaching fail. Regardless of Nolan all calls go through the HC. I never felt our staff had us prepared.

2) Remember Manning, Edge and Harrison/Wayne? We already have Bush and Marshall. Manning could very well bring Wayne, and it would be the same type of recipe Manning has enjoyed success with before.

3) We are building a new offensive system here with a head coach who believes in tailoring towards his players. Manning could have a very active role in shaping our offense.

I can see the Jets giving up on Sanchez if it means getting a healthy Peyton Manning. If they are really serious about winning a Super Bowl, why would they stick with Sanchez if you have a legitimate chance at signing Manning? As far as the Redskins go. They defeated the Super bowl Champion Giants TWICE last season. There biggest problem was their inconsistent play at the QB position. Personally I think the Redskins are more interested in trading up in the draft and selecting RG3, but if they were to sign Manning, I could very easily see them being a playoff team next year.

I want Manning to sign with the Dolphins. I hope he signs with the Dolphins. In fact if Wayne Huizenga were still the majority owner of the Dolphins, I have no doubt he would be able to get Manning to sign with the Dolphins. Unfortunately, it is Ross and Ireland trying to convince Manning to sign with the Dolphins. That is why I have no confidence that Manning will end up signing with the Dolphins.

 

I'd rather be in South Florida over Indy any time of the year.

They will not give up on Sanchez because while he hasn't played well enough to justify what they gave up to get him, he has played well enough at least in spurts to earn himself time to prove he is the quarterback they thought he drafted. The Jets front office still believes in Sanchez, and if you already believe in your QB you don't go looking for another who may or may not pan out. Because if you fail you probably lose your young QB as well in the long run either to another team or he simply loses his confidence.

 

I'm sorry but can anyone imagine Peyton Manning playing in a Tony Sparano run offense. Seriously think about that for a second and tell me he will want to go to the Jets. That's not even one of the top 100 reasons.

 

I always figured the Jets wanted to get back to running the ball since whatever they did last season clearly didn't work. To go along with the Sparano hire, of course.

 

I think the jets will dump sanchez in a heart beat to get manning

If they have one speck of hope that he can be their franchise QB still, you don't dump 10+ years for what might not even work out for 2-3. It makes absolutely no sense,
