It seems to me that last year at this time, many posters on here were saying that Binns was going to be the young WR who would step up and be the player to watch. After being injured in training camp last year, he seems to have fallen off everyone's radar.

If he is healthy during the preseason, he has to be considered a threat to Matthews. He is taller by 3 inches and he is faster than Matthews. He is still young and I think he probably has as much chance as any of the young WR's on the roster to become the 4th or 5th WR.

As a second round selection, Landry will obviously earn a spot on the roster. So I think Binns and Matthews will probably be the WR's who fight it out for the 5th WR spot. I can see both of them making the roster if the Dolphins decide to keep six WR's on the roster.

Lot of love for a guy whose going to have a hard time holding on to a spot. A LOT of competition for the 3 spot and on.

Remember the days when Greg Camarillo was our best WR. Or that time when we were counting on a washed up Jackson with Hartline missing most of the offseason.

Good problem to have for once.

I think we'll keep 6 and it won't be an issue.

Depends on how many TE's they keep or whether we need to keep extra DB's again (I haven't trusted the health of our corners for a while now). Better have a place on special teams though....that'll be the tie breaker.

I think with Hartline, Gibson and Binns (assuming he makes the cut) all coming off injuries it would be foolish not to carry 6 wrs this year.

I'm betting this has to do with something similar to the report that came out last year after Mike Sherman said that Matthews had the "sleepy-eyed look" or something like that during meetings.

That is Matthews real issue, "Coach Joe" is not a fan of his game at all

Recall last yr prior to his injury Armon Binns was odds on to make the roster and Matthews was in roster trouble, even when Binns went down, Matthews was invisible, it took Gibby going down to put Matthews into the lineup.

I suspect Philbin takes some mannerisms of players as unprofessional and really does not want them on the roster or field no matter their potential or even production.

Anytime a player is in the dog house for reasons other than performance, it's usually attitude related. My question is, does the problem with Matthews (whatever it is) still exist or is Jackson referencing the/his past?

Matthews seems to make the big catches during the games that allow Miami to set up a win.

    Binns just drop the ball.

Not a fan of replacing Matthews with Binns.
