He’s not going to get traded, people. San Diego is setting the price very high for a reason: they don’t actually want to trade him. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jackson franchised, if the new CBA retains the franchise tag system.
well they have until 4PM today to get something done....I hope they do, I have him stashed on my fantasy benches on my teams.....
Maybe YOU could trade him to some schmuck and make him someone else's risk, while getting some value in return.
With less than 90 minutes left before Wednesday's deadline for a Vincent Jackson trade, the Chargers have reportedly made "no progress" toward a deal. It sounds like the Vikings are the only team still in the mix for Jackson, and they may have bowed out after signing Hank Baskett on Wednesday morning. Owners can feel free to drop Jackson in fantasy leagues if he's not dealt by the deadline. He's still worth hanging onto for the next hour or so.
or he could come back and be teamed with AJ, and Austin....at which point I will commence bombing people..... although Welker isnt doing a bad job either for me...
Dean Spanos is the one playing hardball here. I’ve been telling you guys that Jackson won’t get traded, but hey…
I meant Andre Johnson rafi.....I dont know if you were responding to me, or speaking independently of my post... Yeah bro I agree too, mistake...
Maybe this ups the ante......I was saying a while ago, I dont think this cat has a long career.... Vikings coach Brad Childress revealed Wednesday that Percy Harvin was not at practice due to a recurrence of his migraines. Harvin's hip injury is just a blip on the radar screen now. The Vikings believed they could prevent further migraines after diagnosing them as a byproduct of sleep apnea during the preseason. Apparently, they were wrong. Harvin almost certainly won't play in Week 3, and there has to be concern that he could be shut down for awhile if the latest episode is severe. Stay tuned for updates.
The Chargers were unable to trade Vincent Jackson by Wednesday's 4ET deadline for Jackson to escape the team's Roster Exempt list, meaning he is officially now ineligible to play before Week 7.
I was speaking of AJ Smith. I think the odds are high that VJ never plays for them again and that instead of getting possibly a high 2nd round pick and another conditional pick (my guess it would have been a 2nd or 3rd if VJ signed a long term deal), they'll get a compensatory pick. At the highest that would be a very late 3rd, but if VJ really wants to stick it to them and sign a low salary first year deal then it will be lower.
