PFT locked in to this Omar Kelly story on Dolphins OLB's/Quentin Moses with a headline banner- that's a pretty good indication of how slow this summer is re: football news. There was an interesting part that sheds light on why Moses has for the most part floundered since he was drafted:

"I came into the NFL with the mentality that I didn't have to do nothing but rush the quarterback. Being released by Oakland and coming to Miami, it helped me develop into a better all-around player," said Moses, a former Georgia standout who was a third-round pick in the 2007 draft. "I'm still learning, still improving, but [my career] taught me how to be tough. I wouldn't say I was a very tough player coming into the NFL."

And to be fair, at least he's still in the NFL, which is better than most. Hopefully he steps up this year- talented guy, but the clock is ticking, especially with the influx of LB's this year.

Either way, I think this might be Moses final chance to show something.

moses is a second tier LB who can't even get on the field on special teams.
he already is everything he is going to be
if he doesn't find a way to start he won't make the cut

That's what the Giants thought about Cameron Wake his first go-around and what the Ravens and Jaguars thought about James Harrison.

Sometimes guys are just late bloomers. If he's one of them, then now will probably be his best chance.

Agree, yr 4 and "Q" has to show more than he has shown.

TBH, "Q" looks a step slow to me, he is physical and does have prototype size and length, but he has little quickness and doesn't compensate for that with passrushing moves or power.."if" Q could ever learn to play with leverage as Jason Taylor used to, he could be something but typically he just tries to bullrush his blocker as if he were pushing a drive blocking sled.

A swim move or arm over or just using his strength to stiff arm his blocker and lift him off of his feet and Q could be something..alas it is yr#4..if he hasn't shown that degree of skill set development yet..chances are good..

Well I am certainly HOPING and rooting for "Q" to have a breakout year this season, we need that from him. Maybe Nolan and Sheriden can get him to the next level.

Ive watched his body grow since he came into the league..he is getting better, I like how he sets the edge, and ive seen him flash some talent in open space, he'll be a good training camp watch to see if there is some ceiling still there.

    much unfounded speculation & banter:
consider the exit of both Porter & JT
    understand that anyone & everyone
stood in line behind these guys
    including: Anderson, Moses & Wake
understand that the play of Dansby
& addition of Nolan are game changers
we are fixed @ LB, let them compete
