Wow what a shame, I hope he either gets into MLB or at least gets a crack at a starting job in the CFL
-
Well that's good. I hope he develops into a baseball player. That way the talent farm known as the Royals will trade him up to the Marlins.

good for him. I wish him success

I respect Pat, he just didn't have what it takes for the NFL. At least not right now. I hope he finds success in the future.

Good for you, Pat White. I don't watch much baseball outside of the Marlins and postseason (hell, nothing more), but I'll be keeping an eye on Pat and I wish him all the best. Again I was a big fan of his in college, but I never liked the fit here like most other Dolphins fans. I refuse to take that out on Pat White though. He's a good high character guy and he deserves whatever success comes his way in the future.

Worthless pick.
If he had been taken in the 5th or 6th round and we told him his only shot was to be an X factor player - learning the RB and WR positions, learning to be a PR/KR right from the get go, and he would get a few reps at QB, I actually think his career would have worked out.
For an organization that supposedly is trying to think outside the box, they didn't very well at all on this. They treated him just like a QB the whole way and it was an epic fail. -
He looked good in that YouTube video but the only problem (maybe not only) is that in the video, everyone in it looked the same size as him. Fast forward to him in the NFL and he was a midget amongst giants it seemed.
That ain't a coincidence -
I think this is a better situation for everyone involved....Anonymous likes this. -

Pat is going to find that it will be even tougher for him to make it in baseball than it is for him to make it in football. A good comparison will be Dennis Dixon, who hit .176/.322/.216 with 0 home runs and 7 RBI between the GCL Braves and the Danville Braves before committing to football full time. -
