Look at where they were at two years ago — (the franchise) was in the dumps. I'll give credit where credit is due. Two years ago, they did not have a quarterback on the roster. Now they have a very good, young one (Chad Henne). They are headed in the right direction. Producing 20 wins in two years is not easy, especially from where they had to come from. The personnel was bad when he got there. (Former Dolphins GM) Randy Mueller had run it into the ground."

RevRicksubscriberYeah! Whoever that was, IMO, just soiled himself with that statement - Mueller did not contribute one scintilla of the damage that Wannstedt did to the Dolphins personnel problems. That man by himself all but destroyed two franchises... He should be in the Hall of Fame for that one - as an example of what not to do.
We are real sailormen, the destroyermen of the fleet.
We can follow the tracks and ride the backs of the dolphins.
We will be where the action is in every situation.

Ginn and Soliai
2006..out of 6 players drafted we are stuck with ONE
Jason Allen
2005...out of 6 picks drafted we got two starters
Crowder and Brown
2004...out of 6 draft pics we got ONE starter
Vernon Carey
2003...out of 9 draft picks we got ONE starter
Yeremiah Bell
So in those 5 years of drafts we still have only
4 starters and 3 part time players...
Even Mel Kiper would have done a better job as our GM during those 5 years

I believe it would be fair to say that in those FIVE freakin years of drafting, we got TWO good players. Ronnie, often injured, as a #2 overall pick, and Carey, who we traded up to get. You can include Bell if ya like.
That's worse than if we had the "blind squirrel" making picks. :)

Might have been a quote taken in passing. Might have just been a number close to where we were. Not far off from 20. I'm sure he didn't have the Dolphins Scouting Report out at the time. Also might have been based on a projection. We were projected to maybe win some of those games at the end of the season.

projections get you nothing. and no where. i was thinking if this guy is gunna do a piece on the dolphins, at least add correctly. he says winning 20 games in 2 years is hard. obviously.....we didnt do it.
