Rumors have been swirling around about multiple teams going after Peyton Manning, despite the Colts placing the Franchise Tag on him; which would require said team to offer more than the Franchise QB price and surrended two 1st round draft selections if the team doesn't match the offer. While there has been little talk about teams going after Michael Vick, that has not stopped Eagles GM, UCF FINatic, from dirastically reducing his current rosters salary in a move to keep Vick. We spoke with UCF FINatic and here is what he had to say: While GM, UCF FINatic did not comment on how much money the Eagles would match Vick for some sources in the know say they would be prepared to match Vick up to a staggering $17,500,000. That contract would easily make Vick the highest payed player in the entire NFL. Our sources also tell us that the Eagles GM already has a contingency plan in place if they do lose Vick. That plan involves acquiring an already proven QB whose name shall not be mentioned. One thing is for sure, the coming weeks will be very, very interesting for Eagles fans and NFL fans alike.
Obviously. Some people can only talk, so much for all that boasting and grand standing. What a way to kick off the FA period.
Anyone with 2 1sts who miss out on Vick/Manning pm me and maybe I will trade you Henne Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Before you get TOO excited, please note an additional 3 may be required. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Yeah. I dont see how anyone can justify spending $40M on one guy. Thats over half the teams salary. Come on! That only leaves $35M for the other 52 players. Meaning the rest of your team will average a salary of $673K. Count me out. My oline is too expensive.
