I'm going to have to agree its a Ross decision. Philbin seems to like to keep everything underwraps without too much media involvement. Regardless I already have HBO and excited to give this a watch.
I think its great. Nobody can follow up on the Rex Ryan Circus act but hey, this is a good thing.
I imagine the camera crew will not mind being in a year round vacation area to do the filming eh ?
eh...
I don't really like the decision.
The added distractions of camera crews following the team through training camp in its first years under an entire new coaching staff, with entirely new systems are not something this team needs.
It's clear to me this is a Stephen Ross move all the way.
Pats are the pats... Jets have all the new york attention, and the tebowmania, Bills made big splashes in FA, and the phins are irrelevant yet again in the AFCE.
What a more perfect way for Mr Ross to get his team back in the spotlight....
I have a hard time believing Ireland and Philbin are actually looking forward to this.
Whatever, it is what it is I guess.
That being said, I'm sure I'll watch it... and really enjoy it.
It is nice to have the team be a bit more open this year than in years past.
I just don't think its a great decision for the team at this point in time.
Oh, and it was real great getting in my car to come home here now on lunch break and listening to Gannon and Schein laughing their asses off at our team, and ownership once again.
/sarcasm
This was... IMO... the right decision for the Dolphins. I think there are a lot of fans like myself that have become incredibly frustrated by this team over the last few years. In fact, I was hanging by a thread, and was all-but-set to completely abandon the team.
Then, they selected Tannehill. Awesome. That's a pick I can get excited about.
Now, the Phins are going to be on Hard Knocks. Awesome, again.
I have been pretty vocal that I think Ross is a bad owner, and Ireland is a sub-par GM. I have no real opinion of Philbin. This is the perfect opportunity for those guys to win fans, like me, back over. Or not. We'll see. However, I am very excited about this decision, and I look forward to getting an up-close view into the inner working of the team I've been a fan of since 1972.
Very excited about this. I've been watching for years, and always thought it would be great to get such an inside look at my favorite team! Should be a lot of fun!
