anyone seen this, some funny moments with sean smith and tannehill in there about the way he used the slide.... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/0ap2000000114019/Sound-FX-Joe-Philbin
Interesting that before the last TD Philbin tells Tannehill to take a sack if the play is not there rather than throw it out of the back of the end zone. He explains he wants the clock to keep running to force the Jags to take a time out. I doubt the prior coaching staff would have considered that.
He wasnt playing around with Sean, lol, damn that was sweet, he basically called him a pu##y and told him to get his *** back out there.. Hmmm, mr smith, no one is diggin your swagger man..
Seems to be hitting his stride in how he's handling the players, how he talks to them, etc. What remains to be seen is whether he can consistently make good football decisions.
Good stuff. Agree that he appears to be handling the players better. I think his game management has gotten better as the seasons gone along, too.
He did it in a playful manner, though, so unless Smith truly is a prima-donna I'm not sure how passive-aggressive that may have actually been.
DJ... it was a sarcastic tone. I've said that type of stuff to my buddies all the time. You're reading into it too much.
I share the opinion that he was just being playful. Remember that when Joe Philbin took over he said that his coaching style is to be demanding without being demeaning. If he was calling him a baby out of disgust and not being funny or playful about it, that crosses the line from being demanding to being demeaning, and that's not Philbin's style.
The one thing that jumped out at me and hasnt been mentioned is how he was in the refs ear. He didnt give the guy a break the whole game. IMO thats as improtant as anything else on game day.
It was a sarcastic tone when he spoke about gates in preseason..he gone.. I see what y'all are saying, but when he was walking away, thinking to himself that guys a pu##y looked real to me.
I tell you what I do know, Jamie maggio on the NFL fantasy show is the hottest chick in the game for me..I love me some Wendy nix, but this woman is beautifully thick..
Nah Grid, I'm just tellin ya how It looked to me, looked to me like he thinks Sean smith is soft..sarcastic, joking, whatever, that looked to be his thought process.
Sorry guys, I warn you, you might want to be alone for this..look at the development of the glutes on this hunk of woman. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=xu6yFhAJniA&desktop_uri=/watch?v=xu6yFhAJniA
Lol...wtf guys...it looked like he was disgusted, what can I tell ya, I'm not projecting anything..lol
rewrote it as it wasn't saying what I wanted it to say. I mean what you want to see. Most evidence to me seems to relay philbin messing with him. Doesn't he even tell him naw I'm playing or something along those lines?
Seems like you just really dislike Sean Smith and you're reading into it way too much. Philbin was clearly just messing with him.
Yeah she's got a nice body. I think the chick Michelle Bisner is now the hottest on NFL Network, haven't really seen much of her body but she's got a real pretty face.
Loved listening to Philbin mic'd up. Sounds like a players' coach but at the same time has a professional, authoritative nature that demands respect. He seems like the type of coach his players wouldn't want to let down, but rather strive for his acceptance. He has that fatherly kind of presence.
I think he probably does believe Smith is soft, but he's communicating that to him in a way that's more "digestible."
By the way, that "slide" by Tannehill looks worse and worse with each viewing. My goodness, how did his knee survive that?
