From a physical standpoint, he's a sleek runner with exceptional agility. However, what really made him standout was his vision, instincts and overall feel for the game. He's much like Edgerrin James to me in that he really knows his way through (and around) the trenches and can solve any 'issues' that appear (i.e. poor blocking).

By the way, what do you make of Sherman's O, pate? You have doubts like I do?

I'm not sure, I dont watch the kind of college football I should. I like individual elements for the Dolphins in the short term. I've always had fondness for the inside/outside zone and passing game elements playing off of it. I was kind of hoping Philbin would bring a solid influence from McCarthy. What are your concerns?

Just concerned over the ability to make adjustments as the game progresses. He did well at times while other times struggling I thought. He simplified the game a lot it appeared though, so I guess we'll see.

I think that's partially Philbin's responsibility as well, no? Sherman may not see or adequately do it, but Philbin's still in on the headset and can suggest another direction?

You think Philbin was really all that influenced by McCarthy? I think its the other way around, IMO.

McCarthy was not a well regarded OC from what I recall (I could be wrong) until he was calling Philbin's gameplans.

I didnt really mean it one way or the other it just came out that way. I think everything we know is pretty much hearsay. I dont know I believe anything one way or the other.
