There's been a lot of hate for this guy around here. I am not here to judge whether anyone is right or wrong. It's been known that I have been in his corner and I believe he took a bit too much of the blame. Sure, he's made mistakes, as all coaches do and I've had some criticisms, but I do like him or at least, I'm still in his corner. The team makes really good halftime adjustments. They seem to stay focused and resilient. They are not folding when it counts. They had a big loss in Albert and made some adjustments, they came out and played amazing. That was against one of the best DLs in the NFL. I am not saying he's perfect, but he certainly deserves some credit. At least for a few days? Anyone?? :pointlol:

What I will give Philbin ultiamte credit for...
This is the most resilient, team oriented dolphins team I've seen in my entire F U C K I N G life time. This is the most concerted team effort I've ever seen. This is the most never say never team I've ever watched. After last season, I didnt think this could be a potential result...but he has something right on that front. Let him learn with the in game stuff and maybe we have a real gem here. Maybe I'm just riding the high of victory and a couple good drinks, too.
I'll eat my shoe...I was down on the man but he's winning me back. -

I don't know anymore, honestly. I see the development of Ryan Tannehill this year under Philbin and Lazor, and I'm intrigued to see another year. Then I think of his game management and his past mistakes in game and I can't help but think we're still winning in spite of him. Tonight, nothing stood out to me that made me scream Philbin! at my tv, and we won a huge game. Hard to come after the guy after we win, a must win, against a very strong D, thats owned us lately. The development of the QB though, is the big thing, its happening, we clearly see it, that makes me a bit afraid to mess with it.

Is there a team better than us at fighting back from adversity in a game?
You saw the Bills fold tonight. You saw the Chargers do it a few drives into the game.
Weve been down and NEVER done it. We lost two hard games. It didnt matter. Hes got something right. I can excuse some growing pains with game management considering it.Sceeto likes this. -

And the only times he puts his hands on the wheel and starts overruling the co-ordinators, we **** up the games....
We would be 8-2 if Coach Queasy didn't interfere with co-ordinators who are better coaches than he is. And have more balls than him. -
He seems to be improving. There is a lot to be said for consistency in this league and you have a coach who, if he continues on this pace, will have improved on his W/L record every season.
That said...What the **** were the coaches thinking passing on 3rd down in that 2nd to last drive. Run the ball, make the Bills burn the time out, and kick the field goal. Luckily it didn't burn them, but a real head scratcher that will go under the radar because of the win.finfansince72, Sceeto, thisperishedmin and 1 other person like this. -

Even Sparta had their Ephialtes, he meant well, he had good intentions, he just wanted to be included; however, he lacked what it took to be one who can aide in his brother to his left or right by not holding the sheild high enough. All his good intentions were not up to par.

I think we have great chemistry on our team with a never say die attitude but we should be 8-2 and I Wonder if anyone else noticed like I did how important it was for us to score 7 more instead of running out the clock. I know Philbin did not...I hope playoff spot does not come down to some wacky tie break between us and Buffalo because they have us by 6 point differential in head to head.

Did he not keep Turner around for the 58 sack season?
Wasn't he forced to fire Mike Sherman?
I'm not saying you are wrong, just pointing out the errors that he has gone some way to fixing were things he had brought upon himself. -

What I think has hurt Miami (at times) this year is having those conservative three and out leads, only to have the opponent get back into it.
While it was not a TD conversion, I still think it was a solid attempt. -

My thoughts on Philbin are that he is an average coach.
I think the team is playing for him right now.
He and his staff fail to have good game plans but they make outstanding in game adjustments (IMO).
It disturbs me how he doesnt see the talent under his nose. Anyone thiink Jenkins would be playing if Eliebre <sp> had not gone down?
This team doesnt make the playoffs he should be fired. They make the playoffs he gets another season. -
