Does anyone out there own one of these? I am looking to grab one this weekend. My wife gets 10% off since she works for the evil empire, and I can not find a cheaper one of this size.
Any opinions would be welcome.
Thanks.

Sony, Samsung, or death!
Ehhh, I guess Sharp is "OK" as well. -
I have a 42 inch Phillips plasma I bought like 2 years ago for $1900..overall I'm happy with it but many believe LCD's have better all around quality than Plasma's...that being said I would go ahead and get it if its in your budget, 47inches is awfully big.

Mbs, don't cheap out on an HDTV. If the Phillips is REALLY the one you want, then go for it. But don't get it just because it's in a certain price range. Better to go without for a little longer and get the right TV than to get just any TV now and not be truly happy with it.FinsPensFan likes this. -

The MSRP on a 46'' Sony Bravia is either $1899 or $1999 depending on which specific model you get, meaning you can get one for less than that on Amazon. Bravias are generally considered the best TV line available right now, and they fit in your price range. -
Oddly enough, this was featured on CNN today. I own a VIZIO and am very happy with the price and quality

I bought a Olevia 42" two years ago. Check out Buydig.com, you can get great deals there. I bought mine from them and saved over 600 bucks. Free shipping and no tax. I bought a LCD:up:

I have a Pioneer and love it, researched it for quite awhile before I did. This is one of the websites I used.

I have a Pioneer 50in Plasma and its great. I just bought a 55in Sony Bravia SXRD rear projection, and it is unbelievable, its extremely slim think around 17inches. If you have no need to mount your TV on the wall, I would try to find one of them. CNET rated it the best RPTV, and I only paid 1700$ for it. They might be a bit hard to find since Sony is getting out RPTV market, but I would absolutely recommended one for anyone else.
