So basically what you're saying is, it wasn't a fumble?

    Ginn = BUST

hate to say it BUT that is what it is starting to look like to me (51% -- 49% tilt). Ginn plays scared, The only reason I am not 100% on the Ginn is a bust bandwagon is because I'm not sure Pennington is not part of the problem as well.

BTW, loved the way Merling played. I thought it was clearly his best game as a pro.

Of 5 returns, 1 went beyond the 20, Cobbs' run - and suddenly it's Ginn's fault as opposed to the blocking. :pity:

 your kidding right? Ginn is soft but players his size shouldn't take shots. Besides he is best used when he has space or a QB that can actually get him the ball.....

Sparano blamed it on the blocking. Said we need to block better and find guys who will block better.

I know, I was just backing up your post with something from the coach's mouth.

How exactly is an 18.5 yard average better than an 18.3 yard average?

I don't think those seven inches are doing much for us.

    That's what she said

I agree with the avoiding contact for the most part.

What drives me nutz is I was pulverized last year saying Ginn is NOT a good return man.
Sorry, but truth is he just isn't.

As far as your last comment, what exactly are you basing THAT on? Previous experience? :shifty:

Ummm put him on a team that can actually block then you tell me. Sure he wont reach past the 20 every time but I bet you anything he has a better chance at taking one back than Cobbs does.

Well the fact that Ginn saw what 10 deep balls all of last year and caught 3-5 of them? I'm saying Pennington isnt the best QB to throw the ball down field. You honestly think if were down by 2 scores these dink and dunk passes are going to win us games? I believe that why were using the wildcat so we can perhaps catch a team off guard and score when needed.

I'm sure if Henne was in Ginn's numbers would be up big time.

Edit-if your talking about Troy Smith at OSU I'm sorry but Ginn was the most dangerous players in College football while at OSU. He was really the only explosive weapon we had going into the Florida game and when he went so did the game plan. Florida didn't have to worry about the deep threat.

I think the reason we use the Wildcat is cause our O-line isn't worth Crap.

I think Ginn is a "Nice" reciever, but running faster than anybody down the field and catching Bombs all day does NOT work in the Pro's

Back OT, glad to see Merling coming along as he is

We will see, it's one game and no one outside of the defense played very well.

    And 7 inches difference?

Does our kick return game need Viagra or should we sign Smilin' Bob?

I'd love to see Merling become our Leonard Marshal, that would really crank up the passrush.

Ginn or Cobbs....it is still a tossup, to me Ginn should be the guy but Cobbs probably could do a good job as well.

I'm sorry but Troy Smith spent the entire game running for his life. Throwing down field was probably the last thing on his mind.
