The Dolphins have completed their coaching staff for the 2012 season! The team today named Blue Adams as assistant DB coach, Charlie Bullen as defensive assistant, Ben Johnson as offensive assistant, Chris Mosley as assistant OL coach and also announced that RB coach Jeff Nixon has been retained on Head Coach Joe Philbin’s staff for the upcoming season

Nixon worked in Philly while they were running WC offense, and Reggie bested expectations, makes sense. Have we hired a QB coach or is Sherman that guy with Dorrell now in Houston.

I'm confused. Does this mean we won't hire a QB coach?

Anywhere we can go to get a complete rundown of the staff and their backgrounds? I would assume the Dolphins official site does, will have to look there. Very satisfied with the dispatch Philbin filled his staff, shows he was prepared and likely had already spoken with most of his staff here, in legal circumstances before he even got the HC job.

It's not a bio page, but here is the small rundown we have.

    http://www.thephins.com/team/miami-dolphins-2012-coaching-staff/

21 coaches total. Recall Nick Saban started out with 23. Believe Don Shula had a whopping 6 with the '72 Dolphins. Different game nowdays.

One thing I noticed is that more than half the staff is under 40 years of age.

All of the positional assistants, plus Jeff Nixon (RB) and Dan Campbell (TE) are in their 20's or 30's. Here's how it breaks down.

As you can see, it's a 'young' staff, but not a bunch of kids in the leadership positions. In all, the head coach is 50. His three coordinators average 51. His positional coaches average 41 (43 if you count Sherman as QB coach). And their support staff is 35.

The bigger concern is that three of those position coaches are in their first NFL job, though one of them is the oldest man on the staff (O'Keefe) and has been the coordinator at an extremely well-coached, Division-1 program the last 13 years.

Here is one on our new asst. offensive line coach. Was asst. D Line coach. Guess he has turned over a new leaf and went to the to the other side of the ball now.

    I remember when that happened.

More than likely just screwed up and drove one night. That's a nightlife area and where young and well-to-do live. He's like 33. I see pro athletes and coaches out there most nights.
