That's a pretty big acorn. He's had some relatively decent PFF #'s if I recall correctly. And probably fits our even front better than Ryan Baker
He's a great athlete and almost as wide as he is tall. If he's finally healthy, he's a nice addition to a good DL in need of depth.
I heard jeff ireland fired ryan baker then called him an ******* in front of his now homeless family.
He also told Baker's children that their father would now have to pimp out mommy on the corner just before he urinated on their rug and kicked the family golden retriever in the testicles.
In all seriousness I think Ireland has been reading my post and is finally replacing talent as soon as he gets rid of it. Now if he can just jump in a time machine and do that with BM and VD all is well with me!
Comparing your sig to the Caption photo from this week and I'm confused: Ryan is in the same pose, put Jerry is nowhere to be found in your sig photo.
Nothing special in that regard. 2008: 128 snaps, -3.8 2009: 417 snaps, -7.2 2010: 154 snaps, +1.1 2011: 212 snaps, -6.9
2008: -4.5 run, +1.0 pass 2009: -1.6 run, -6.9 pass 2010: -0.1 run, +1.8 pass 2011: -4.3 run, -0.8 pass
I'm trying to remember how we got Baker. I believe he was a rookie. just wondering if there is any of the same data to compare?
Apparently, they found a better fit than Baker for the time being. What's the over/under of Baker being brought back again?
DT is far and away the deepest talent on this roster. Far and away. Why we would flip rocks at this position I have no clue.
My guess is we will flip rocks at any position if its deemed an improvement. The caveat of course is at WR where they are still enamored with Nannee
I think Fluellen is a bit of a reclamation project. He's a high pick that was never particularly good but has upside. Kheeston Randall has shown he can be depended on as a rotational player, and with Tony McDaniel coming back you can afford to take a flyer. This is also noteworthy for how far of a deviation this is from "normal" prototypes. Fluellen isn't a player that Ireland would have likely had interest in a year or two ago.
I think Fluellen is one of those physically talented guys that was seen as a potential first round pick, but never met that potential due to injuries. I was hoping for/expecting a CB, but I understand being high on a player's talent and adding that talent when the opportunity arises.
It's too bad we can't turn Tony McDaniel and Randy Starks into one player. Then we could have Tony Starks and get some iron man **** going. We wouldn't have to flip rocks then.
thanks. Is there a website that gives those grades for college players? I know it would be like comparing aples to oranges, but just curious. If there is, that would be an awesome site during the off-season.
Honestly I'd rather wait for Bowe this offseason. I think there is a really good chance we land him. I'd even keep my eyes out for a pre-deadline trade with Bowe. One reason he hasn't been moved yet is the fact that KC has/had playoff aspirations. Those are fading fast with their ugly 0-2 start. If they start off 1-4 or something like that there is a chance they may decide to get value for Bowe while they can. In my opinion Bowe > Wallace
