I hope he comes thru for us all and himself.

 

I would really like Phillip Merling to do well. He would have some help and guidance from Jason Taylor which should help.

Yeah I am looking for him to have a breakout year.

Well he did score as many touchdowns as Davonne Bess

 

and Bess didn't get to run over the geezer either

 

This year we should see why Merling was pegged in the top 10 DP's before his injury, and frankly I'm excited to see what we've got in this young man. I really like his attitude and work ethic. If he can start getting to the passer, Langford improves in that way, and Wake/JT/JP/MR all do as well as I believe they will this season, our D should be top 5 and among the sack leaders in both conferences.

Wasn't Merling being considered at the SOLB position this time last year?

 

YeAh. That's where I thought they would put him but they decided he could handle the 3-4 DE position. I thought he was best suited for 4-3which is why I thought he did surprisingly well especially when you factor in the hernia injury

 

It is time for Merling to show he can be a beast and he is ready to take the NFL by storm.
